Cocchi Brachetto d’Acqui
BRACHETTO D’ACQUI
The most characteristic of sweet red sparkling wines, it has been a constant throughout the history of Piedmontese wine. It grows on the gently rolling hills of the Upper Monferrato area, and ever since antiquity Acqui Terme has been its terroir of choice, and a diverse one, where this aromatic varietal finds its best expression
GRAPE VARIETY
100% Brachetto d’Acqui
VINIFICATION AND SPARKLING WINE MAKING
Bunches of grapes are harvested by hand and immediately pressed to obtain a very sweet and cherry red must, which will then ferment in autoclave. Thanks to this technique, the aromatic qualities of the grape pass to the wine, releasing its intense scent of rose and raspberry.
TASTING NOTES
Cherry red with light notes and a joyful foam; vibrant, fresh and stylish bouquet with an intense scent of rose; gentle, slightly tannic to balance the sweet aroma and grant a pleasant persistence.
It is the perfect party wine that goes naturally well with fresh fruits, pastries or elaborate desserts.
A young wine to be served chilled; ideal for bars and patisseries, it can be best presented in cup-shaped glasses with a garnish of wild berries.SKU: COC11-NV00750-SP -

CABERNET SAUVIGNON | 2018
Colchagua Valley
Organic WineCOMPOSITION
100% Cabernet SauvignonWINEMAKER’S NOTES
After destemming, the grapes are cold macerated for five days in open top stainless steel tanks and fermented with native yeasts. After primary fermentation, the wine is macerated with its skin for another ten days to achieve greater smoothness and intensity of flavors. Finally, the wine is racked to neutral oak barrels and aged for 8 months.2018 VINTAGE
An exceptional harvest in Colchagua, with very good ripening curves given by a rainy winter and a summer of moderate temperatures. The optimal condition of the grapes at picking time delivered wines of great concentration and elegance, with very good balance of acidity and tannins. The fruit and freshness of the Carménère stand out, although it is quite structured, it will be softened with aging.SKU: VRM03-1800750-RD -

Waipara West Pinot Noir 2018
Estate grown on 3 blocks with differing soil structure, wind exposure and clones – early 1980’s selections from St Helena and more recent Dijon clones. The colour is an attractive, very bright ruby garnet with distinct crimson hues at the rim. Aromatically it is as striking as it is seductive. Bright red fruits – raspberry, strawberry and Morello cherry have immediate impact with an equally impressive array of oriental spices – anise and clove. Ripe seed aromas of almond kernel and cherry stone lift the nose. Time reveals an inner core of darker black cherry, and just a hint of bramble all kept in check by some very attractive yet subtle French oak. The palate is soft, silken and warm but with a certain nervosité which is to say that as a young wine it may appear both bright in acidity and forward in tannins, but that’s just for starters. Those are simply the framework in which the wine is cradled, the fruit depth is palpable, the Pinosity generous and its presence authoritative.

Beronia Gran Reserva 2012
After the best grapes were carefully selected from the Tempranillo (93%), Graciano (4%) and Mazuelo (3%) vineyards, they were cold macerated for several days prior to fermentation. Alcoholic fermentation took place next, at between 26 and 28ºC, with periodic pumping over. The must was allowed to macerate again post-fermentation. Lastly, Beronia Gran Reserva 2012 spent 28 months in French oak barrels, completing its ageing with a further 36 months in bottle prior to release.
Beronia Gran Reserva 2012 is a very deep garnet colour. On the nose it displays a vast array of aromas, from stewed ripe fruit to prunes and nuts such as walnuts. Subtle hints of tobacco and powdered cacao also come through, together with white pepper and balsamic notes that add freshness. It delivers distinct notes of fruit and nuts on the palate, which provide structure and tannin. The wine is long, very complex, balanced and also sophisticated.
Best served at 15º-17ºC with red meat, roast beef, mature cheese and chocolate desserts.
Recommended for drinking from release until 2033.

Locations CA4 California Red Wine
Geographic diversity is what Locations – CA is all about. Provided with a wide assortment of microclimates and soil profiles to exploit, it can be a winemakers dream. With a goal in mind to create a blend that showcases the best of the Golden State, we navigated the famed appellations of Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino, and the Sierra Foothills for prized fruit. Once secured, we were able to apply some creativity with the blending components to ultimately settle on a wine worthy of Locations Veiled in dark ruby red, the wine bursts with a tempting perfume of red and black fruits, dried rose petals, and a peppery note which offers some lift. Dense and ripe upon first pass, it evolves into a savory compote of raspberry, kirsch, and bitter cherry balanced out with mineral and herbal notes. The finish is substantial with tangy acidity, yet buffered with polished tannins that please the palate.

Orin Swift Blank Stare 2017
Every now and then when tasting wine, you come across one that makes you fall into its gravity. One moment you’re having a great time with friends and the next you’re stuck with your nose in the glass—time stands still and you appear to have a blank stare on your face. The gravitational pull makes time stop. In fact, the third iteration of Blank Stare follows in the footsteps of two great vintages for Sauvignon Blanc. Sourced primarily from the Laguna Ranch, MacMurray and Two Rock vineyards, the wine’s main premise is to do just that, make time stand still with glass in hand, just for a few seconds.
Glowing in the glass, the aromatics concentrate with notes of lemongrass, fresh cut grass and hints of lavender, cream and jasmine. On the palate, the entry is all acidity but with a serious mid-palate—lively flavors of kiwi, lime and intriguing minerality. The finish is bright and youthful with a slight Meyer lemon rind closing out the wine.

Orin Swift Papillon 2017
A Bordeaux-style red wine from the Napa Valley, comprised of all five varietals , is hard to find. We’ve been lucky to source quality fruit from long time growers on both the valley floor
and surrounding hillsides; and while finding Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec can be difficult, their contributions to the resulting wine make it worthwhile. A prime example of our
house style—accessible, massive, and memorable—the bottle empties quickly (a slight disappointment when discovered) for the bottle weight suggests differently, and searching for
another bottle ensues. Our good friend and fellow winemaker, Greg Gorman, photographed the label.
Powerful aromatics escape the glass with rich notes of ripe blackcurrant, blackberry, peppercorn and a touch of chaparral supported by a frame of sweet oak. Intensely layered and decadent on entry, the wine exudes characteristics of black plum, boysenberry, kirsch and dark chocolate with a silky soft yet weighty texture. A prolonged finish of Provençal lavender, fig leaf and ripe currants close out the wine.

Orin Swift Mercury Head 2017
2017 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
When asked about our winemaking philosophy, we keep it simple: treat every lot as if it were destined for Mercury Head. And while there are limitations as to what we can eventually include in the resulting blend, we’ve been surprised before about what makes that cut. In 2016, we incorporated for the first time ever, a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon from the historic Monte Rosso Vineyard up in the hills above the Sonoma Valley—and this year, have done similarly. Year after year however, there are a few standouts that have become the wine’s backbone—the Morisoli vineyard in Rutherford, the Milat vineyard in St. Helena and a few of blocks from the Stagecoach vineyard on Atlas Peak. Blind tastings, trial blends and 15 months in barrel, the finished wine is our true representation of the best Cabernet from the Napa Valley.
Winemaker’s Notes
A familiar nose of pedigree, the wine opens with aromatics of ripe raspberry, blackcurrant, cigar box and a hint of fresh sandalwood shavings and Herbs de Provence—mysteriously intriguing at first but evolving into a thoroughbred with time and air. Dense and layered on the palate, an immediate note of mixed berry strudel topped with fresh cream, fresh black raspberry and soft tannins akin to baking chocolate transition to a finish of both nuance and concentration. Still young, the wine will continue to evolve gracefully while retaining its luscious quality and classic Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon nature.

Orin Swift Abstract 2018
By definition, an abstract is a summary of something larger—it encompasses the crucial details and is easy to comprehend. Abstract, in its own way, is an abstract of what we do here at Orin Swift. It has our signature drinkability, produced from quality vineyards across California and is accompanied by a piece of art by Dave Phinney. A starting point for most, Abstract is decidedly archetypal of many things to come on a journey with Orin Swift.
Winemaker’s Notes
Aromatics with gravity, the wine pulls you in with notes of blueberry, black fig, bloodied strawberry and hints of musk and rhubarb. Bold on the entry, the palate exudes rich notes of dark plum and ripe framboise with a slightly chalky texture. Orin Swift 8 Years In The Desert 2018
Working with Zinfandel requires use of the Goldilocks principle— pick it too early and you end up with a stemmy wine; pick it too late and you risk a stuck fermentation; pick it just right… well, what do you think? Zinfandel tends to have more acidity compared to other grapes at the same sugar levels, therefore making it necessary to let them ripen more than usual. As a result, alcohols are rarely seen below 15%—some of ours much higher. Sourced from vineyards of pedigree, such as Monte Rosso, Bismark, Korte and Frei Ranch, the wine exudes the ethos of 8 Years in the Desert: a heart and body of Zinfandel with nuance and complexity from Syrah, Petite Sirah and Grenache.
Blend: Zinfandel, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Grenache
Maturation: Aged for 8 months in French and American Oak, 37% New
Winemaker’s Notes
An opaque core with a red amethyst rim, the wine opens with ripe raspberry and blackberry, dark plum preserves and hints of black pepper and clove. An entry of heft, the palate is packed with blueberry and sweet black cherry along with touch thyme, savory and tarragon. Long on the finish, the ripe tannins, a dash of ash, and notes of black tea round out the wine.

Ornellaia 2016 “La Tensione”
Ornellaia is a cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc & Petit Verdot and the faithful expression of unique terroir developed in harmony with nature. 2016 represents another immensely successful vintage highlighting all the virtues of Bolgheri’s climate: abundant sunshine, without excessive heat, a dry summer to allow the grapes to achieve perfect ripeness and concentration, and just about enough rain to avoid stress. All these elements combine to yield a wine that shows lush ripeness and crisp firmness, opposing forces creating a sense of dense raciness we like to describe as “tension”.
Particularly dark and young colour is the prelude to a complex nose of black berries, spices and cedar. The palate is rich and dense, balanced by a refined and firm tannic structure, lifted by a juicy and bright acidity. 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot

We also weren’t going to restrict ourselves by appellation constraints and focused on making the best possible Petite Sirah-based blend from California. We used quality individual wine lots to create a seaMLess blend with both finesse and power, ultimately, creating a wine that embodies the spirit and energy of Orin Swift.
Violet ink in the glass, a nose of black plums, cassis, and cacao engage. The robust entry consists of a progressing palate of blackberry and boysenberry compote, a reduction of dark plum and ripe figs, and pure Amarena cherry. Flashes of vanilla and traces of minerality evolve into chalky tannins and a smooth lingering finish.

Orin Swift Palermo 2017
A bold representation of the signature grape varietal of the Napa Valley, Palermo is a portrayal of the patchwork of vineyards across the region. With fruit sourced from the warmer Calistoga and St. Helena AVAs down to the cooler AVAs of Coombsville and Oak Knoll, across to the unique microclimates of Pope Valley and Atlas Peak and finally to the famous soils of Rutherford and Oakville, this truly is the Napa Valley in a bottle. Working in the vineyards to meet our strict quality standards, we were able to produce a wine that is both classically Cabernet, while staying true to our Orin Swift ethos.
Winemaker’s Notes
A dark garnet hue sits in the glass with immediate aromas of ripe cassis and blackberry. Hints of cocoa, new oak and fir complement the juicy fruit mélange. A full-bodied entry is succeeded by a mid-palate of dark fruits and a smooth, integrated minerality. The tannins are well developed, allowing the wine to finish with length.

Orin Swift Blank Stare 2018

The Glendronach Cask Strength Batch 7
At The GlenDronach, our time-honoured process of production ensures we continually master the art of crafting one of the world’s richest, fruity and complex Single Malts. This Cask Strength release offers a deeper insight into this profile by bottling the whisky in its most natural and non-diluted form. Like all previous Cask Strength batches from The GlenDronach, this expression continues our tradition of marrying the finest Spanish sherry casks from Andalucía; Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez. The Oloroso contributes to the fruity and elegant nature of The GlenDronach, with notes of dark bramble fruits and gentle spices. Pedro Ximenez contributes the robust and full-bodied richness of The GlenDronach, often characterised by notes of dark chocolate and stewed fruits.
With each Cask Strength release, our Master Blender selects the ideal marriage of these two casks before bottling without chill filtration, at high strength and naturally deep in colour, as was the custom before the turn of the 20th century. Add a drop or two of water to reveal a cornucopia of flavour – from wild figs and brambles to baked apple and damson plum.
Such is the reward of our 7th batch of The GlenDronach Cask Strength, a richly sherried Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky matured in finest Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks.

BenRiach Dark Rum Aged 22 Years
Matured in the traditional style in American Bourbon barrels, this whisky is then ‘finished’ in dark rum barrels, sourced from the Caribbean island of Jamaica. During this second period of maturation, the whisky derives many interesting characteristics specific to the Dark Rum barrel, ripe stone fruit infused with vanilla, ginger and tangerine peel. Bottled at natural colour and non-chill filtered.
Nose : Vanilla syrup and poached pears, dusted with sweet barley grist, combine with oak spice and candied peel to create a warm contrast.
Palate : Ripe yellow plums and nectarines infused with vanilla, ginger and tangerine peel. Wild flower honey combined with stewed barley creates an exceptionally luscious. A long finish with rich, dark sugars and warm oak spice of the dark rum casks combined perfectly with orchard fruits and fresh barley character of the classic BenRiach style. A truly exceptional example of the marriage between cask, maturation and spirit.
