Each botanical is specifically and meticulously selected to create a complex and sophisticated gin. Orange peel from Italy, Bergamot from Italy, Savory from the French Alps, Lemon Peel from Italy, Cinnamon from Sri Lanka, Angelica Root from the French Alps, Coriander from China, Juniper from Croatia, Almond from Greece, Liquorice from Turkey and Lily Root from Italy. The London N°1 presents itself in a luminous, pale yet bright bluish Aquamarine colour; the nose reveals delightful scents of juniper berries and balsamic aromas. The alcohol is well integrated, elegant and clean. A delicate palate with some viscosity, and a fine dry mouth feel. Mild but very aromatic, with quality balsamic notes. Very balanced overall with a long sensual finish.

Fords Gin

$95.00
There are countless brands that offer creative twists on the traditional gin formula: Hendricks, with cucumber and rose; Aviation, with lavender and sarsaparilla; The Botanist, with mint and chamomile. While all of these newer brands provide exciting variations on the typical gin flavor profile, their ability to deliver effectively in a wide range of cocktails is limited. Fords is the melding of both worlds, in that our high juniper content firmly establishes our credentials as a classic London dry, but has a unique blend of florals, spices, and citrus underneath it to give it a more current twist.
  • Aroma: Juniper, coriander & angelica up front with developing layers of citrus, jasmine & hints of vanilla in the background. Bright & expressive on the nose.
  • Flavor: Fresh, round citrus profiles on the opening with a light sweetness and blossoming bouquet of orris, cassia & grapefruit.
  • Texture: Medium body, viscous & silky on the palate. Long, lingering mouthfeel.
  • Intangibles: Impeccably balanced without anyone botanical dominating. Finishes dry with full-figured notes of grapefruit peel & long-lasting juniper impression.

TOM COLLINS

Colombian Ortodoxy

$98.00 $78.40
Ortodoxy is based on the formula of Dario Parra, former president of the company, and lover of gin. After his many extended visits to the UK and of course, enjoying what was for him God’s drink, he returned to Colombia determined to create a Colombian Gin. Back home he studied several formulas, based on his experience, and finally created Ortodoxy Gin. For years, the Ortodoxy was produced only for his own personal consumption, never dreaming that his invention could one day become an internationally sold gin. The formula of berries, botanicals, peels, roots, and spices gives the Ortodoxy gin a unique taste profile. Colour: In the glass, Ortodoxy Gin is full of light and body, proof of its quality and clarity. Aroma: On the nose it displays a balance of the bitterness of the roots, the freshness of the botanicals, the sweet and sour of berries and peels, and the warmth of the spices. The initial aroma is of the juniper and the angelica combined with mint, lemon and pepper. The secondary aromas of cinnamon, blueberry, and ginger merge to create a classic dry gin. Palate: In the mouth it is flavourful and smooth, along with the astringency, sweet and sour of classic gin. At 43% alcohol, this gin mixes well with a wide range of tonics.
