At Barefoot, we’ve always marched to the beat of our own grapes. How do you become the world’s most loved wine brand? You start with a belief that wine should never be taken too seriously and a conviction that when you follow your heart there’s no limit to how far your vine will grow.
Take our very beginnings in 1965, when California winemaker Davis Bynum first created Barefoot Bynum Burgundy in his garage. The unconventional name referred to – what else? – the free-spirited method of crushing grapes barefoot.
Fast forward to 1986. Things really kicked off when visionary entrepreneurs Michael Houlihan and Bonnie Harvey took the helm, renaming us Barefoot Cellars and creating the footprint label we’re known for today. Barefoot Wine’s casual name and quirky persona quickly made an impression on our fans.

Barefoot Pinot Grigio
Pinot Grigio is certainly a fans’ favourite when it comes to white wine and we love it too. Barefoot’s Pinot Grigio has a light-bodied style with a bright finish. While it’s beyond perfect for the warm days of summer – sipping a glass of cool and crisp Pinot while the sun goes down – it’s also a fantastic all-year-round wine.
Open a bottle of Barefoot Pinot Grigio Wine and you’ll be impressed with its glorious flavours. It boasts tart green apple mixed up with white peach, while floral blossoms and fresh citrus combine to deliver a blast of spectacular sharpness.
Of course, although Pinot Grigio is enjoyed on its own it’s also a superb sidekick to food. It’s the perfect partner to the three Ps – namely poultry, pasta and pizza – and fish dishes. It’s particularly good with spicy food, too, as its clean taste cuts through the hotter food. Try it with a thai green chicken curry or alternatively sit back with a tall glass of Pinot Grigio wine and a bowl of fresh mussels. Gorgeous.
Is ours the best Pinot Grigio? We’ll leave that up to you to decide, but let’s just say we’re quietly confident…SKU: BFC08-0000750-WH
A love letter to an oh-so-refreshing, classic favorite, Barefoot Rosé is a sweet blend of juicy cherries and cool watermelon for a smooth finish. Barefoot Sauvignon Blanc
For those wine drinkers with a drier palate, Sauvignon Blanc is the perfect white. This is our driest white wine so if dry is your flavour preference, Sauvignon Blanc will definitely hit the spot! Barefoot Sauvignon Blanc wine is bursting blissfully with sumptuous summer fruit flavours. Hints of citrus, peach, pear, nectarine and ripe honeydew melon all combine to deliver a wine that is delicious, crisp and extremely tasty.
Sauvignon Blanc is a wine to pack in your picnic basket and bring along for those long, lazy warm and sunny days. Stretch out a blanket, get comfortable, open a chilled bottle of wine and enjoy. It’s a wonderful wine to drink with your feet up as the sun goes down but don’t feel as if you need a hot day to indulge in a glass or two. Sauvignon Blanc is great anytime!
Sauvignon Blanc white wine is also an excellent match for food, making it a great choice to serve for lunch or dinner with friends. It’s particularly suited to pairing with lighter dishes, such as chicken, pasta and seafood. If you’re looking for a mouthwatering recipe idea, why not try our one-pot pasta, with pancetta and peas? Inspired by the tastes of Italy, this easy-to-make dish features Sauvignon Blanc to give its sauce an irresistible twist.SKU: BFC05-0000750-WH
Pour a glass of our Californian Shiraz wine and don’t be surprised if you experience love at first sip! One taste of this smooth-as-velvet red and it will quickly become established as one of your favourite wines, perfect for a large gathering or simply for serving at home.
Shiraz is produced from the same grape as Syrah. It’s a classy, spicy, hearty red which boasts a pleasing vanilla finish, a smoky scent and flavour notes of dark berry, black cherry and mocha, among others. Although it’s a full-bodied wine and one of the darker and heavier types, Shiraz red wine is also of the easy drinking varieties – a bottle of this definitely won’t last long once opened!
Shiraz wine goes with lots of food, so you can’t really go wrong if you’re planning to serve it with dinner. It’s especially tasty with BBQ food. A large glass of Shiraz with a generous portion of slow-cooked sticky ribs is always a winner. It’s also fantastic with grilled meats, steak, sausages and thick, tender stews, and as a partner to pasta dishes.
Our Barefoot Shiraz is a delight to drink, and one of our most popular red wines. If you haven’t already tried it, it’s highly recommended!SKU: BFC04-0000750-RD
