The 2019 Master’s Collection Chocolate Malted Rye uses a malted rye as a dynamic flavour contributor. The rye malt was roasted to a level that its natural sugars caramelized into a dark chocolate note.
Composing 15% of the recipe, it makes this Kentucky Bourbon rich in mocha, dusty cocoa and assorted chocolate notes. Mash bill: 70% corn, 15% chocolate malted rye and 15% distiller’s malt
TASTING NOTES
- Colour: Medium caramel.
- Nose: Soft mocha, delicate caramel and roasted nut notes mingle with hints of cedar, soft oak and a touch of fruit.
- Taste: Roasted rye grain, dry cocoa nibs and dark chocolate spice up a soft mocha character atop a layer of cherry fruit and toasted oak.
- Finish: Long and chocolatey.

Nestled amid the rolling hills of bluegrass and thoroughbred farms sits our historic Woodford Reserve Distillery.
One of Kentucky’s oldest and smallest distilleries, the present-day Woodford Reserve Distillery is built on history, sitting on Kentucky’s oldest distilling site where Elijah Pepper began crafting whiskey in 1812. It was on these same hallowed grounds that years later Master Distiller James Christopher Crow perfected his whiskey-making methods, which today have become common practice, including the implementation of sour mash into fermentation.
The Distillery is home to a 500-foot-long gravity-fed barrel run, our iconic copper pot stills, and 100-year-old cypress wood fermenters. We also boast one of the only heat cycled barrelhouses in the world, ensuring every drop seeps into the charred and toasted white oak, giving Woodford Reserve its colour and signature flavour.

Master Distiller Andreas Vallendar combines carefully hand-picked Riesling grapes from the Zilliken estate and over 30 delicately balanced botanicals from the vineyards and our own cultivation.
Our Saar Quince is infused with 2011er Rausch Kabinett, which in 2013 was awarded 92 points by Gault Millau and was distinguished as the best cabinet wine of the year. The Royal Prussian District Forester Ferdinand Geltz not only gave his name to this Riesling-infused Saar Dry Gin but he was also the historical co-founder of the VDP Mosel-Saar-Ruwer growers’ group.
This golden Quince from the Saar symbolises the perfect balance between sweet, sour, and bitter.

Aromatic to the nose with notes of buttery-vanillin oak flavours and exotic fruit (orange rind and honeyed grapefruit). On the palate, the wine is round, fleshy with wonderful minerality and again, delightful exotic fruit flavours. The new-oak flavours are present. Very nice balance between the oak, fruit and acidity. Excellent finish.
100% Sauvignon Blanc. Harvest is done 100% by hand. Following a skin-contact maceration, 75% of the juice is fermented in vats and 25% in oak-barrels. During this ageing period, “batonnage” is carried out. After blending and filtration, bottling is carried out in late spring following the harvest.
Jack Daniel’s Bonded Rye
Jack Daniel's Bonded Rye whiskey is Bottled-in-Bond, uniquely crafted rye grain bill, that opens with notes of dried fruit and lingering hints of toffee imparting a bold, complex and balanced taste with a rye spice finish.
The Bottled-In-Bond Act (1897) stipulates that the whiskey must be:
- From a single distillery.
- From one distilling season.
- Bottled at 100 proof.
- Aged in a federally bonded warehouse for at least four years (seasons to mature).
