Starward Ginger Beer Cask is back, our most popular and sought after Starward Project to date. Now in its sixth release, this delicious single malt whisky is more expressive than ever and the team’s most experimental to date. The ginger beer recipe is a closely guarded secret by the distillery production team but includes huge amounts of ginger, lemongrass and citrus peel. The ginger beer was brewed in-house and aged in EX Starward whisky barrels for 6 months before being disgorged. Our red wine and Apera casks were blended together before being finished in the ginger beer casks for over a further 6 months and bottled. Loaded with citrus peel and spicy ginger, it’s a zesty little number with aromas of dark chocolate and orange, with a palate of fiery ginger, fresh vanilla, and pineapple. Nose: Ginger, orange and dark chocolate. Palate: Strong spicy ginger, fresh vanilla and pineapple, balanced by sweet raisins and fig. Finish: A big, warming mouthfeel with candied ginger and citrus.

Dolce, a single, limited release, is a melding of juicy wine and oak characters with a flourish of sweet ‘Sicilian’ notes; marshmallow and cola. A twice distilled single malt spirit. Made with Australian barley and brewers' yeast for extra flavour. This Single Malt Australian Whisky was matured in Australian red wine barrels and then finished in barrels that held an Australian interpretation of a Sicilian Dessert Wine. It is the newest release from the Starward Projects, a program where distillers get to experiment with different whiskies and create flavour forward and unique expressions. That is why Dolce is unlike any released before. Intriguing marshmallow and cola characters melding with the Starward stamp of red wine barrel maturation, it is an embodiment of the Italian word for sweet, Dolce. This one's a stunning straight sipper, especially with a cheeseboard, after dinner or just as your dessert! Nose: Dried fruits, toasted marshmallows, and marzipan. Palate: Initial sweetness on the front palate, rich dried fruits, brown sugar, cola and toasted marshmallows. Finish: Palate is viscous, caramelised but enough tannin leaving a well-balance finish.

  • Nose : A big hit of dry sherry notes, and then a sweetness of vanilla and oak come through. Some new leather notes and light cigar tones work with cinnamon and ginger for a rich nose.
  • Palete : Sweet sherry and red soft fruits combine with a kick of cinnamon spice and an oak dryness for a bold and complex palate that also has cherry stones and hints of earthy patchouli.
  • Finish : Sweet with some notes of leather and tobacco.

Riserva La Venaria Reale is the vermouth created by Cocchi to establish a milestone in the premium Vermouths category. It is a vermouth in the style of the former kingdom of Piemonte, result of an unique partnership with Reggia di Venaria and only produced in two very small batches. Recipe, selection of botanicals, long maturation: every element has been carefully reasoned and selected for historical and geographical consistency. Cocchi Vermouth Riserva La Venaria Reale has, in fact, a strong local identity – herbs from the Alps – and historical identity, recalling the essential role played by the House of Savoy in the diffusion of the modern Vermouth. botanical-library
CHARACTERISTICS
The peculiar style of Cocchi Vermouths makes them identifiable for their strong personality, for the intensity of their floral freshness and spicy fragrances and for their richness of flavors. The Cocchi Riserva is the culmination of this style that emphasizes the richness and aromatic density of spices with a six months refinement in the bottle. “Reserve” does not mean aging in barrels, which would affect the complex aromatic balance in favor of oxidation and tannin components, but the valorization of the formula and the savoir faire in production. As in Cocchi Storico Vermouth di Torino, the wine is aromatized with a formula particularity rich in Artemisia, Rhubarb, Alpine herbs and a touch of Piedmontese mint. This composition accentuates the pleasant balsamic effect and gives a surprising freshness, to the point that this product could also be perfectly mixed with aged Rye of Bourbon.
HOW TO DRINK
Dark amber in color but without caramel in its formula, Cocchi Riserva La Venaria Reale is sweet enoght to be enjoyed pure with ice and lemon peel, or by itself as a digestive.

Alcohol content: 18% Bottle content: 50 cl Ingredients: wine, sugar, alcohol, herbs infusion and spices. The alcohol content (18%) makes this Vermouth very robust and with an excellent preservation also after bottle is opened, if well tapped in the fridge. Once open, keep chilled and drink within a month.
