Glendronach Distillery has now released Batch 19 in their single cask series consisting of 12 casks selected by Master Blender, Rachel Barry that were matured in either Pedro Ximénez or Oloroso sherry puncheons and butts distilled between 1990 and 1994. You can only purchase all 12 expressions in person at the distillery as portions of the series are assigned to different international markets. The Australian market has been allocated 4 bottles from the series with vintages from 1990, 1991, 1992 and 1993. Australia’s allocation this year has been so small that we only have a handful of each expression to sell.
This GlenDronach single cask is one of only 616 bottles that was laid to rest for 31 lazy years in a single Pedro Ximenez sherry puncheon. Rare and collectable, it’s next level Glendronach. Like all Glendronach single casks, the whisky is non-chill filtered with no added colour.
