Bumbu is distilled and bottled at a 123-year old distillery in Barbados from first class sugarcane selected from eight countries across the West Indies. The finished blend is aged up to 15 years in once-used, grade-A bourbon barrels. Orange peel from Italy, Bergamot from Italy, Savory from the French Alps, Lemon Peel from Italy, Cinnamon from Sri Lanka, Angelica Root from the French Alps, Coriander from China, Juniper from Croatia, Almond from Greece, Liquorice from Turkey and Lily Root from Italy. The London N°1 presents itself in a luminous, pale yet bright bluish Aquamarine colour; the nose reveals delightful scents of juniper berries and balsamic aromas. The alcohol is well integrated, elegant, and clean. A delicate palate with some viscosity, and a fine dry mouth feel. Mild but very aromatic, with quality balsamic notes. Very balanced overall with a long sensual finish.

To honour The GlenDronach’s early whisky making heritage, Master Blender Dr. Rachel Barrie crafted The GlenDronach Traditionally Peated using the same principles laid down by our founder James Allardice almost two centuries ago. At this time, it was traditional practice in the Highlands to burn peat in the kiln towards the end of the barley malting, creating a rich and warm, earthy smoke. Interwoven with robust Highland characters, The GlenDronach Traditionally Peated is peated to those traditional levels and has all the full-bodied richness of The GlenDronach. Matured in the finest Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso sherry and Port casks. The expression is bottled at 48%, non-chill filtered and natural in colour.
  • Colour: Vivid harvest gold.
  • Nose: Highland toffee and treacle meld with dark honey and coal smoked barley.
  • Taste: Sip burnt orange and treacle on a base of cloves and smoked bramble.
  • Finish: Savour liquorice and dark fruit into the lingering rich, earthy finish.

Dictador 2 Masters Laballe 1975

A 41-year-old Dictador Rum from a 1975 single vintage cask finished in Bourbon barrels and then shipped to Laballe in Armagnac, where it further spent six months in an interesting Black Gascon oak cask, medium toasted.
  • Nose: Lovely soft vanilla notes of bourbon and white flowers kick off the aroma, with white chocolate and raspberry to follow. Sultanas, and hints of an autumnal forest floor. Complex and well balanced.
  • Palate: Maple with pecans and smoked liquorice, aniseed and star anise. Some malty notes with blood orange, red apples and a touch of triple sec.
  • Finish: White pepper, sweet tea and some notes of fresh ginger. Candied oranges dipped in dark chocolate.
  • Matured in Gascon Noir Chene
