Veramonte Carmenere 2019

$33.90
CARMƉNƈRE | 2019 Colchagua Valley Organic Wine COMPOSITION 100% CarmĆ©nĆØre WINEMAKERā€™S NOTES After destemming, the grapes are cold macerated for five days in open top stainless-steel tanks and fermented with native yeasts. After primary fermentation, the wine is macerated with its skin for another ten days to achieve greater smoothness and intensity of flavors. Finally, the wine is racked to neutral oak barrels and aged for 8 months. 2019 VINTAGE A good harvest in the Colchagua Valley, with favorable weather conditions that, despite the scarcity of precipitation, gave us a good ripening curve. Harvest began during the projected timeframe and gave us intense fruit with great balance between the acidity and the tannins. It gave us a fresh carmĆ©nĆØre, with structure and a smooth finish. Food Pairing: Beef, Pasta, Lamb, Poultry

Orin Swift Blank Stare 2019

$75.00
A glowing pale straw with a striking touch of chartreuse sits in the glass. Aromatically, the wine pops with lime zest, gooseberries, ripe passionfruit, fresh cut grass and lemon bars. On the entry, the acidity acts like a belt, constraining the voluptuousness; similar taste profiles to the nose plus crispy green apples and the faintest hint of fresh sage abound. The finish is reminiscent of ripe kiwi and limoncello, teetering on a beam of lingering acidity. Varietal: Sauvignon Blanc "Expressive and fragrant, with honeysuckle, candied ginger, tangerine and lemon curd flavors on a full, fleshy frame. A fresh thread of acidity keeps the flavors bright and focused, with accents of matcha green tea, dried white flowers and spice lingering on the finish. Drink now. 3,000 cases made." - 92 points, MaryAnn Worobiec, Senior Editor and Napa Bureau Chief at Wine Spectator *Receive a complimentary pack of drop stoppers with any order of Orin Swift wines above $200. The GlenDronach Traditionally Peated

$119.00
To honour The GlenDronachā€™s early whisky making heritage, Master Blender Dr. Rachel Barrie crafted The GlenDronach Traditionally Peated using the same principles laid down by our founder James Allardice almost two centuries ago. At this time, it was traditional practice in the Highlands to burn peat in the kiln towards the end of the barley malting, creating a rich and warm, earthy smoke. Interwoven with robust Highland characters, The GlenDronach Traditionally Peated is peated to those traditional levels and has all the full-bodied richness of The GlenDronach. Matured in the finest Pedro XimĆ©nez, Oloroso sherry and Port casks. The expression is bottled at 48%, non-chill filtered and natural in colour.
  • Colour: Vivid harvest gold.
  • Nose: Highland toffee and treacle meld with dark honey and coal smoked barley.
  • Taste: Sip burnt orange and treacle on a base of cloves and smoked bramble.
  • Finish: Savour liquorice and dark fruit into the lingering rich, earthy finish.
Food Pairing: Cheese (eg, Blue Cheese*), Appetizer, and snacks *Because of the cheeseā€™s creamy sweetness, which works perfectly to accentuate the pear notes and smoky flavour of the whisky. Together they tease out each otherā€™s shades of spice, floral honey and barley sugar.
