Jack Danielās Old No. 7
Mellowed drop by drop through 10-feet of sugar maple charcoal, then matured in handcrafted barrels of our own making. And our Tennessee Whiskey doesnāt follow a calendar. Itās only ready when our tasters say it is. We judge it by the way it looks. By its aroma. And of course, by the way it tastes. Itās how Jack Daniel himself did it over a century ago. And how we still do it today.
Nose: Caramel with mild hints of banana
Taste: Balanced caramel, vanilla and toasted oak, medium bodied.
Finish: Creamy/Clean finish
Woodford ReserveĀ® Very Fine Rare Bourbon
In the 1830ās our Woodford County distillery was the setting for a series of discoveries and innovative practices that would define the bourbon industry for generations to come. For this 2020 Masterās Collection release Master Distiller Chris Morris and Assistant Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall have drawn upon the rich history of that time and their own careers for inspiration.
Local newspapers from the 19th century highlighted auctions of highly aged Bourbon barrel lots as being āVery Fineā and āRare.ā The very rare barrels of Woodford Reserve featured in this Masterās Collection date back to the first year Morris became our Master Distiller. He and McCall have held them back from inclusion in their standard batching process to inaugurate this new package.
āDue to the heat-cycled warehousing at Woodford Reserve our product yield is extremely low. This makes a longer aged product at Woodford Reserve an extremely difficult accomplishment and therefore something that is quite rare.ā ā Elizabeth McCall
The result is the Fall 2020 Masterās Collection release named Very Fine Rare Bourbon, a rich and darkly robust expression of Woodford Reserve Bourbon.

Woodford ReserveĀ® Master Collection Cherry Wood Smoked Barley
The Woodford Reserve Masterās Collection has traditionally honored the pioneering and innovative production processes established at our Woodford County distillery in the 1830s by owner Oscar Pepper and Master Distiller James Crow. Today that pioneering spirit is embodied in the Woodford Reserve Distilleryās Masterās Collection series and itās latest release ā Cherry Wood Smoked Barley.
Mash Bill: 70% corn, 20% cherry smoked malt, 10% distiller's malt
Distillerās Notes
The 2017 Masterās Collection Cherry Wood Smoked Barley is the first Kentucky bourbon to use malted barley that has been exposed to wood smoke during its kilning process. This imparted a rich smoked almond note to the mash that carried over in the distillation process. With 30% malt content the Cherry Wood Smoked Barley mash bill has a greater amount of malt than traditional bourbon. The result is a rich, full-bodied bourbon.
Tasting Notes
- Appearance : Rich amber
- Nose : A complex mingling of deep caramel, brown sugar and dark chocolate top a layer of cherry jam and nutty crumbles dusted with wood spice.
- Taste : Intense smoked almond and malt character sweetened with cherry pie filling and a touch of caramel.

The GlenDronach Traditionally Peated
To honour The GlenDronachās early whisky making heritage, Master Blender Dr. Rachel Barrie crafted The GlenDronach Traditionally Peated using the same principles laid down by our founder James Allardice almost two centuries ago. At this time, it was traditional practice in the Highlands to burn peat in the kiln towards the end of the barley malting, creating a rich and warm, earthy smoke. Interwoven with robust Highland characters, The GlenDronach Traditionally Peated is peated to those traditional levels and has all the full-bodied richness of The GlenDronach. Matured in the finest Pedro XimĆ©nez, Oloroso sherry and Port casks.
The expression is bottled at 48%, non-chill filtered and natural in colour.
- Colour: Vivid harvest gold.
- Nose: Highland toffee and treacle meld with dark honey and coal smoked barley.
- Taste: Sip burnt orange and treacle on a base of cloves and smoked bramble.
- Finish: Savour liquorice and dark fruit into the lingering rich, earthy finish.
Woodford ReserveĀ® Master Collection Brandy Cask Finish
The Woodford Reserve Masterās Collection Brandy Cask Finish is the latest and 11th release in the series. As the first whiskey to be finished in an American brandy cask, this new expression is yet another product of Woodford Reserveās continued appreciation and commitment to innovation and craftsmanship.
Brandy, a spirit distilled from wine or fruit, is often aged in oak barrels. These may be used a number of times because Brandy does not have the new, charred barrel requirement that our Kentucky Bourbon does. Finishing fully matured Woodford Reserve in these barrels does not add any new flavours to the whiskey, but instead accentuates Woodford Reserveās rich dried fruit and nut characteristics that come from our grain recipe and long fermentation process.

Starward Muscat Cask
Starward Muscat | Single Malt Australian Whisky
Fully Matured in Muscat Barrels; combination of fresh and charred barrels In a Starward first, this single malt whisky was fully matured for 4 years in Muscat barrels from Rutherglen, Victoria. Australia produces some of the finest Muscat fortified wine, and we are lucky to have access to these barrels within a day's drive of our distillery.
Our distillers used two parcels of locally sourced casks, wet filled and charred. The whisky absorbed the brightly perfumed aroma from the wet filled casks while the charred casks provided caramelized Muscat undertones and a toasty oak profile.
Our team are no strangers to experimenting with fortified wine. Our very first whisky, Solera, is fully matured in Apera barrels while our previous Dolce and Tawny releases show further variation in our fortified wine barrel maturation.
This latest Projects release is a nod to the iconic Muscat grape, balancing the deliciously sweet, sticky characters with soft oak spice from the barrels. Featuring notes of toasted almond, raisins, and cinnamon, it's delicisous sipped neat and fits perfectly around the dinner table.
Nose: Toasted almonds and raisins, topped with sweet and juicy lychees.
Palate: Imagine a plate of hot sticky cinnamon spice buns, straight out of the oven. Smooth and delicate, with hints of toasted oak and liquorice.
