ROSĆ SYRAH | 2020
Casablanca Valley
Organic Wine
COMPOSITION
100% Syrah
WINEMAKERāS NOTES
The grapes are harvested in the early morning to keep them bright and fresh. The fruit goes in whole cluster into the press and is then racked off to stainless steel tanks for cold fermentation before it is bottled.
2020 VINTAGE
An excellent harvest in the Casablanca Valley. The moderate temperatures during spring, without significant rains, allowed for good bud break and flowering. During summer there were no large diurnal temperatures, benefiting the ripening curve and helping maintain the freshness of the fruit in this zone. Harvest was pushed up by 10 days with respect to last year, and with lower yields that produced intense aromatics and flavors, producing fresh, intense wines with balanced acidity and a long finish.
"Pale copper color with aromas of pomelo, cherries and dried herbs. Medium-bodied with fresh acidity and a dry, savory finish. From organically grown grapes. Drink now. Screw cap." - 90 points, James Suckling

Ferdinandās Saar Dry Gin Jeroboam 3000 ML
An award winning range of products from the 200 year old Avadis Distillery, infused with Riesling from the 275 year old Zilliken winery; Ferdinandās owes its name to the Prussian District Forester, Ferdinand Geltz, who also co-founded the VDP Mosel Saar Ruwer Zilliken estate, one of Germanyās finest vineyards.
Carefully hand-picked Riesling grapes from the steep shale slopes of the Zilliken estate on the grand Saarburger Rausch site make our gin a unique taste experience.
Pot still production in small batches. The raw distillate produced from their own grain is distilled several times to form the basis for a selection of 34 hand-picked herbs, spices and fruits, which are carefully macerated to produce an eau-de-vie. The additional use of a steam infusion of freshly harvested herbs adds unique fresh floral notes to their gin, which is rounded off with a precise measure of Schiefer Riesling. Having been left to rest for a period of 4 weeks in stoneware, Ferdinandās Saar Dry Gin is set to a drinking strength of 44% abv using demineralized water, then finally bottled.
Ingredients: 34 regional botanicals (thyme, sloe, rose hip), pot still distilled, proprietary grain spirit made from a blend of wheat, rye and spelt, Riesling wine infused.
Tasting Note: Aromas of pine and juniper, pungent lavender, lemongrass, lemon meringue, vanilla, and coriander
Jack Danielās Tennessee Rye
Jack Danielās Rye is the brandās first new mashbill since prohibition. Considering all the drinkers who are rediscovering rye, the challenge of creating a Jack Danielās version of this special whiskey was too exciting to pass up. Weāve brought forward the spice of rye, while leaving room for the complexity and depth of the corn and malted barley.
Because itās charcoal-mellowed and aged in new, white oak barrels, Jack Danielās Tennessee Rye has the Jack character and smooth finish that does not over-power. Jack Danielās Tennessee Rye has a unique grain bill of 70% rye, 18% corn, 12% malted barley, the result is a bold, spicy rye whiskey thatās sippinā smooth.

Taste : At 90 proof, Jack Danielās Tennessee Rye Whiskey packs rich flavors from start to finish. This well-rounded rye whiskey brings out caramel and dry baking spice.

Chateau de Pommard Clos Marey – Monge āSimoneā 2016
Nestled at the foot of the ChĆ¢teau de Pommard, Simone is a 0.53 hectares plot of remarkable terroir. The delicacy and intensity of a red wine strongly depends on the quality of the internal surface of clay contained in the soil. The higher the density, the more a vineyard can produce grand cuvĆ©es. In 2009, Claude et Lydia Bourguignon, both agronomists and founders of the Microbiological Laboratory for Soils, conducted a thorough study on the Clos Marey-Monge and the Simone plot. What they found exceeded every expectation. With an internal surface of clay beyond 730 square meters per gram, Simone is close to the world record.
With only 1,800 bottles of this intense, rich and complex Pinot Noirāour rarest cuvĆ©e, produced in the most generous years, Simone is available by allocation only.
Powerful and delicate, our Simone 2017 shows a deep, dark and bright ruby colour with purple accents. The nose first reveals wild aromas of venison, underwood and elderberry, followed by notes of red roses, dry flowers and sweet spices. The palate is fresh, with a firm yet velvety tannic structure. With a long, vibrant and salty finale, this Pinot Noir shows an impressive depth that will still be there in 30 years from now.
