Veramonte Sauvignon Blanc 2021

$36.55
SAUVIGNON BLANC | 2021 CASABLANCA VALLEY VIBRANT • CRISP • FRESH Vibrant and aromatic, with citrus aromas of lime and tangerine, blended with subtle floral notes. Smooth and fresh, this Sauvignon Blanc has a great mouthfeel and a long finish. After several years the 2021 harvest started by the end of February in what we refer to as “normal timing”, the main reason is given that we had a colder season that led into a slower maturation curve, thus accomplishing a more homogeneous process that brought complexity and intensity to the grapes. The characteristics of this harvest derived in moderate yields, which benefited the concentration of the fruit, allowing for its origins and variety to express themselves to its full potential. As always, the first variety to be harvested was our Sauvignon Blanc, this year surprised us with great aromatic potential, both fresh and expressive. Being the result of a cold year, it delivers freshness in the mouth, with a long crispy acidity at the end. Recommended Serving Temperature: 10°C Food Pairing: Oysters, White fish, Salads "This has aromas of white peaches, sliced apples, lemons, fresh pears and flint. Subtle smoked-almond notes. Medium-bodied with a creamy texture and fresh acidity. Nice mineral edge. From organically grown grapes with Ecocert certification. Vegan. Sustainable. Drink now. Screw cap." - 90 points, James Suckling

Beronia Tempranillo Elaboración Especial 2021

$40.00
VINTAGEThe significant feature of the weather over the growing the year was that both winter and spring were mild, which meant that budburst, flowering and fruit set were earlier than usual. Rainfall was in line with the average for winter, but there were storms in spring, some of them hail, albeit in very specific areas. Véraison happened in the first few days of August, which was a very hot month, signalling that the harvest would be about 15 days earlier than usual. The weather changed dramatically in early September, with daytime temperatures turning much milder and night-time temperatures becoming much cooler, creating a broad diurnal range – ideal for the grapes and their phenolic ripening to develop well. The outcome was satisfactory, with healthy grapes, nicely mature skins and sweet tannins. The harvest took place progressively and in order, starting on 20th September and finishing on 19th October. The crop was classified as VERY GOOD. BenMarco Sin Limites Malbec Gualtallary 2021

$62.00
BenMarco Sin Límites Gualtallary is a Malbec that reflects the terroir calcareous nature. On the nose, hints of pepper, especially pink pepper, and calcareous notes predominate, while on the mouth the austerity and grainy texture stand out. Incomparably long finish and great definition. When first smelt, it can be perceived as shy or tight, so decanting is recommended. It is aged in second and third-use French oak barrels for 12 months. Given its complex, austere, and affable profile, it is very versatile for pairing. It can be matched with lamb, soft cheeses, and all kinds of red meat. "Racy and spicy red fruit profile on the nose with a hint of thyme and white pepper. The pure, medium-bodied palate has good intensity of flavors. Juicy and even in the middle with a vibrant finish. Composed and well-poised. More elegant than 2020. Drink now or hold." - 94 points, James Suckling

Yangarra Noir 2021

$62.10
Grenache is the emerging hero variety of McLaren Vale. Traditional blends of Grenache from the region focused on the varieties Grenache (G), Shiraz (S) and Mourvedre (M), and thus the term GSM. For many years in the old-world Grenache had many more blending partners. In France, namely the Sourthern Rhone, it can be blended with Cinsaut, Counouise, Picpoul Noir, Muscardin. In Priorat Spain, with Carignan. We started planting some of these obscure Southern Rhone and Priorat varieties in 2008 which has culminated in our first Noir blend being produced. Many of these varieties, including Grenache, have a blanc (white), gris (grey) and noir (black) expression of the variety, which lead to calling this the Noir. Kept on lees in 100% older French oak for 6 months after fermentation. VARIETY: 45% Grenache, 19% Mourvédre, 19% Carignan, 12% Shiraz, 4% Cinsaut, 1% Counoise "A bright assemblage of fresh red-fruit aromas and flavors with crisp, easygoing texture and a neat, succulent finish. 62% grenache, 15% shiraz, 12% mourvedre, 6% carignan, 3% cinsault and 2% counoise.
