Light gold with greenish glints. Bright, luminous and clear. The nose is rich and ripe, full of flowers at first, then revealing its fruity aromas with sweet, mellow scents. On the palate, the wine is very powerful with a strong mineral character that enhances the fruit and fine vegetal flavours. Its mellowness harmonizes perfectly with its vivacity on a solid structure that illustrates perfectly the special nature of the wine.

Beronia Rueda Verdejo Blanco 2022 is the only wine made by Beronia Rueda, the González Byass group’s winery based in that Denominación located in the region of Castile. A unique single-varietal that’s the result of double harvesting and full fermentation in stainless steel and concrete vats. Elegant, fresh and mouth coating.   The white Beronia Rueda Verdejo 2022 was designed from grapes that were harvested in two stages: in the first, the earliest grapes that give the wine its freshness and a slight herby touch were picked; the second was focused on selecting the ripest and most concentrated berries to lend it volume. These are the ingredients that go into making Bodegas Beronia Rueda, the only wine produced by the González Byass group’s firm based in Rueda, a Denominación de Origen located in the region of Castile.  As in the three previous vintages, the grapes from the two harvests were processed separately and fermented in stainless and concrete vats. The final blend is a versatile, single-varietal Rueda wine that’s a perfect match both for exotic food such as Asian (sushi, for example) and for classic dishes like white fish, smoked fish and creamy cheeses. The aromas on this Soave are beautiful and the wine offers just the right density in the mouth to support all that preach and citrus intensity. This is a lovely Soave to pair will grill shrimp or fish tacos. From the municipality of Colognola ai Colli and Illasi (Verona).

A blinding white gold and a chartreuse shimmer in the glass, the 2021 Mannequin opens with opulent, beguiling aromatics. Ripe golden apple, concentrated jasmine, citrus notes and a touch of cream and fresh brioche emerge. The entry is bright yet with a bit of weight; similar aromatic notes come through on the palate supplemented by rich honeydew and green apple. Tempered by a prominent vein of acidity, the wine closes at length with a seamless silk-like quality, finishing with pleasing minerality. This silky-smooth wine offers an appealing lift of crisp tropical fruit and subtle touches of oak for a vibrant, layered Chardonnay. Notes of lemon meringue, poached pear, crushed granite and fresh pineapple juice offer incredible structure to the palate. Deeper into this well-textured wine are richer hints of butterscotch, almond cream, salted caramel and crème brûlée, finishing bright and playful. Pair this inviting Chardonnay with a grilled pork chop in a mustard-thyme cream sauce with a side of rosemary-herb roasted potatoes, or with a cheese pairing of aged gouda with dried apricots.

VINEYARD: Kersbrook in the northern Adelaide Hills - 340m above sea level on complex sandy clay loams over shale VINTAGE 2022: Above average winter rainfall initiated healthy bud burst and minimal irrigation was required as a result. Spring was also relatively cool & windy which lead to some prolific canopy growth in parts of vineyards but also uneven flowering, which saw lower yields in many cases. Colour: Pale straw, with tinge of green Nose: Nashi pear and passionfruit with a hint of lime Palate: Nashi pear and pithy fruit flavours dominate, with lime zest and minerality, making the palate long and zingy. 2020 vintage was the earliest in our 30 years at Waipara West. We had a warm, dry September and cool October were followed by our hottest November on record, this set up very favourable conditions for f lowering. Summer started with dry, slightly warmer conditions than normal for both December and January, followed by a dry, much warmer than average February, this put much of the east coast of New Zealand, including North Canterbury into drought. March brought a break in the heat and some much needed rain that slowed the ripening of beautiful clean fruit, the first blocks were picked on the 16th of March. April, returned to dry weather, with above-average temperatures which was ideal for the bulk of our harvest. The grapes were hand harvested from the upper terrace from a combination of various clones. Clones are picked and vinified separately until blending for aging. Colour: A clear pale lemon core with a gold hue and flecks of green and silver. Aroma: The aroma of the wine is truly multi-layered. It shows fresh lime and lemon, white stone fruit and fragrant almond blossom mixed with malt biscuit and underlying mineral notes. Palate: Ripe peach and nectarine with key lime and yuzu drive the palate. A luscious full-bodied mouthfeel from aging on fine lees gives flavours of malty cheesecake crust combined with a crunchy mineral finish and hints of salted caramel Food Pairing: Pork, Rich fish (salmon, tuna, etc...), Vegetarian, Poultry pH: 3.45 Acidity: 5.3 Residual sugar: 0.54g/L
