Orin Swift 8 Years In The Desert 2020

$106.00
Bright violet in the glass, the 2020 8 Years in the Desert is the epitome of our style, the reason we are even here in the first place. Nose: As itā€™s being poured, the aromatics hit squarely on the nose with a perception of sweetness: pure brambly raspberry juice and blueberry preserves with a hint of white pepper and High Sierra forest floor. Yet, the perceived sweetness on the nose is just that, perceived, and doesnā€™t carry through to the palate. Palate: Lush and enveloping with a beam of acidity, notes of blackberry pie, plum and kirsch flourish. Ultra-round tannins and lingering raspberry, the wine finishes in slow-motion. Varietal: Zinfandel, Syrah, Petite Sirah *Receive a complimentary pack of drop stoppers with any order of Orin Swift wines above $200. While stocks last.

The color of this wine is orange pink. The calm and regular effervescence gives birth to a sustained and delicate cord whose bubble is very fine. Nose: This wine is powerful, fruity, developing aromas of strawberry, raspberry, sour cherry, and floral notes of peony with a vanilla finish. This bouquet of fruit is supported by slight notes of almond, cinnamon, honey, and wood. Length, complexity, and balance define a mouth in harmony with the nose. Palate: We note a beautiful purity, an excellent finesse on the palate with a creamy texture that allows us to discover an elegant wine with beautiful vinosity. In the mouth, very refreshing, reminiscent of pomelos on the finish. Food Pairing: This cuvee is appreciated with refined dishes, such as salmon in strawberry foil or fried langoustines. It can also be served with a fillet of red mullet, or even a rib of lamb marinated with vegetables. Finally, for sushi lovers, this champagne is the perfect match.

Luce Lucente 2019

$64.00
A cold and sunny winter was followed by a spring characterized by low average temperatures and heavy precipitation, which contributed to the creation of important water reserves in the soil. The reduced sunlight coupled with the heavy rainfall resulted in a slight delay in the vegetative cycle of the grapevine. Flowering took place between the end of May and early June, after which the growing season continued regularly with a hot summer free of excessive temperatures and some rainfall occurring between late July and early August. The mild temperatures in September and the good water reserves supported a slow and regular ripening of the grapes. Lucente 2019 is an intense purplish red wine. The nose is characterized by notes of ripe red fruit, raspberries and sour cherries, combined with a touch of vanilla and a slight balsamic hint. On the palate, the wine is soft, balanced and well-supported by a pleasant crispness and smooth tannins, characteristics that together with its sweet aftertaste give the wine a persistent finish. Food Pairing: Beef, Lamb, Veal, Poultry, Cured Meat "Lots of blue fruit, graphite and stone aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied with tight and linear tannins and a fresh, vivid finish. Punchy, yet fine, suggesting two to four years of bottle will soften the wine." - 94 points, James Suckling

Veramonte Sauvignon Blanc 2021

$33.90
SAUVIGNON BLANC | 2021 CASABLANCA VALLEY VIBRANT ā€¢ CRISP ā€¢ FRESH Vibrant and aromatic, with citrus aromas of lime and tangerine, blended with subtle floral notes. Smooth and fresh, this Sauvignon Blanc has a great mouthfeel and a long finish. After several years the 2021 harvest started by the end of February in what we refer to as ā€œnormal timingā€, the main reason is given that we had a colder season that led into a slower maturation curve, thus accomplishing a more homogeneous process that brought complexity and intensity to the grapes. The characteristics of this harvest derived in moderate yields, which benefited the concentration of the fruit, allowing for its origins and variety to express themselves to its full potential. As always, the first variety to be harvested was our Sauvignon Blanc, this year surprised us with great aromatic potential, both fresh and expressive. Being the result of a cold year, it delivers freshness in the mouth, with a long crispy acidity at the end. Recommended Serving Temperature: 10Ā°C Food Pairing: Oysters, White fish, Salads "This has aromas of white peaches, sliced apples, lemons, fresh pears and flint. Subtle smoked-almond notes. Medium-bodied with a creamy texture and fresh acidity. Nice mineral edge. From organically grown grapes with Ecocert certification. Vegan. Sustainable. Drink now. Screw cap." - 90 points, James Suckling
