Cocchi Asti DOCG

$28.90
ASTI DOCG Cocchiā€™s ASTI is an undiscussed representative of the most popular sparkling aromatic wine in the word. Today, only small quantities of ASTI are produced by Giulio Cocchi through the fermentation ā€“ in steel vats ā€“ of the finest Moscato from the Asti hills. Creamy and delicate to taste, with a very scented aroma, this is the classic party wine suitable for everybody, due to its natural character and low alcohol content. The colors of the flags of the medieval festival ā€œPalio di Astiā€ are paraded in this bottle that Giulio Cocchi produces with now more than one-century old experience. GRAPE VARIETY 100% white Moscato VINIFICATION AND SPARKLING WINE MAKING All efforts are made in cellars in order to keep ā€“ and unveil even more ā€“ the fruity, delicate aroma of the grape. A very slow fermentation process takes place in steel vats at controlled temperature to get the very fine bubbles that are peculiar to Cocchiā€™s Asti. TASTING NOTES Asti Cocchi is a sweet sparkling wine with the immediate aromatic fragrance of Moscato grape, a rich and intense aroma with a fruity taste of wisteria, acacia and honey. It features a well-balanced sweetness and a low alcohol content (7% Vol). Ideal with desserts. It is a must with almond or hazelnut pastries.

ROSƉ SYRAH | 2019 Casablanca Valley Organic Wine COMPOSITION 100% Syrah WINEMAKERā€™S NOTES The grapes are harvested in the early morning to keep them bright and fresh. The fruit goes in whole cluster into the press and is then racked off to stainless steel tanks for cold fermentation before it is bottled. 2019 VINTAGE An excellent harvest in the Casablanca Valley. The moderate temperatures during spring, without significant rains, allowed for good bud break and flowering. During summer there were no large diurnal temperatures, benefitting the ripening curve and helping maintain the freshness of the fruit in this zone. Harvest was pushed up by 10 days with respect to last year, and with lower yields that produced intense aromatics and flavors, producing fresh, intense wines with balanced acidity and a long finish. "Delightful red cherries and strawberries. Subtle and dry with light mineral character on the palate. Drink now. Screw cap." - 90 points, James Suckling

Ferdinandā€™s White Vermouth

$32.00
The worldā€™s first vintage vermouth with riesling of a great VDP-site. The large steep south-facing slope of the Saarburger Rausch, its rough Devonian shale soil and the cool climate of the Saar form the perfect basis for the first Riesling Vermouth in the world. The minerality and fruitiness of the Saar Riesling, the bitterness of the wormwood and the floral, spicy aromas of the regional herbs and flowers give this batch produced Vermouth wine from the Saar valley its unique lightness and elegance. Ferdinandā€™s White Riesling Vermouth is carefully aged in Mosel Fuder casks, neutral German 1000 litres oak barrels, which ensures the perfect balance between the acidity and fruitiness of the Riesling and the vineyardā€™s botanicals. Besides homegrown wormwood, lovage and vineyard onion we use the botanicals which form the essential part of Ferdinandā€™s Saar Dry Gin, to retain the distinctive character of the beautiful Saar region. Grand Cru Riesling wine is infused with cold macerated botanicals, sweetened by the residual sugar of the wine and rectified concentrated grapes.
