Beronia Tempranillo Barrel F. 2020
We selected the best quality bunches of grapes to make our Beronia Tempranillo Elaboración Especial with. 100% Tempranillo. Both alcoholic and the subsequent malolactic fermentation were completed in 225-litre American oak barrels, in which the wine was left to age for a further five months, with regular bâtonnage. Last of all, the wine was bottled in May 2020 and kept for at least 5 months prior to release.
Beronia Tempranillo Elaboración Especial is a deep picota cherry colour. On the nose it displays prominent aromas of roasted coffee, toffee and hazelnut, with fresh fruit in the background. Notes of chocolate complement the palette of aromas. The character of the grape variety reveals itself rapidly on the palate, with red berries and liquorice most prominent. This is a fresh, full-bodied wine with well-integrated tannins.
Beronia Tempranillo Elaboración Especial is a perfect match for smoked and salted foods and pâté as well as for red meat, roasts and ibérico cured meats.

Handpicked Regional Selection Rosé 2020
Winemaking
This wine is made with Pinot Noir grapes from our Highbow Hill Vineyard in Yarra Glen. The fruit was pressed gently and slowly, picking up just enough colour on the way. The wine had a short maturation in tank and older oak and is made to drink now while fresh and youthful.Tasting Note
The colour is a clear light salmon. The nose has vibrant red fruit and spice aromas, and the palate has juicy fruit flavours and savoury notes. This wine is perfect for sipping on its own and will pair handsomely with a range of foods. A youthful wine made to drink while young and fresh.Region
Highbow Hill Vineyard is planted on rolling hills north of Yarra Glen township. The soils are sandy loam over clay and gravel over Yarra Valley mudstone. The Pinot Noir vines were planted in 1998. The Yarra Valley is a cool climate wine region on river plains and rolling hills at the foot of the Great Dividing Range east of Melbourne. Vines were first planted here in 1838, just a few years after Melbourne was founded. After a short and promising heyday, dry wines fell out of favour and other rural industries dominated until the late-1960s, when a resurgence in winegrowing laid the foundations for today’s vibrant industry.Food Match

ROSÉ SYRAH | 2020
Casablanca Valley
Organic Wine
COMPOSITION
100% Syrah
WINEMAKER’S NOTES
The grapes are harvested in the early morning to keep them bright and fresh. The fruit goes in whole cluster into the press and is then racked off to stainless steel tanks for cold fermentation before it is bottled.
2020 VINTAGE
An excellent harvest in the Casablanca Valley. The moderate temperatures during spring, without significant rains, allowed for good bud break and flowering. During summer there were no large diurnal temperatures, benefiting the ripening curve and helping maintain the freshness of the fruit in this zone. Harvest was pushed up by 10 days with respect to last year, and with lower yields that produced intense aromatics and flavors, producing fresh, intense wines with balanced acidity and a long finish.
"Pale copper color with aromas of pomelo, cherries and dried herbs. Medium-bodied with fresh acidity and a dry, savory finish. From organically grown grapes. Drink now. Screw cap." - 90 points, James Suckling

Waipara West N Block Chardonnay 2020
2020 vintage was the earliest in our 30 years at Waipara West. We had a warm, dry September and cool October were followed by our hottest November on record, this set up very favourable conditions for f lowering. Summer started with dry, slightly warmer conditions than normal for both December and January, followed by a dry, much warmer than average February, this put much of the east coast of New Zealand, including North Canterbury into drought. March brought a break in the heat and some much needed rain that slowed the ripening of beautiful clean fruit, the first blocks were picked on the 16th of March. April, returned to dry weather, with above-average temperatures which was ideal for the bulk of our harvest.
The grapes were hand harvested from the upper terrace from a combination of various clones. Clones are picked and vinified separately until blending for aging.

Aroma: The aroma of the wine is truly multi-layered. It shows fresh lime and lemon, white stone fruit and fragrant almond blossom mixed with malt biscuit and underlying mineral notes.
