Handpicked Collection Chardonnay 2016
Mornington Peninsula, Australia
Opening with stone fruit and floral aromas with bright citrus notes, this wine has layers of fruit flavour and creamy complexity derived from 11 months aging on lees in barrel.
Vintage 2016 was marked by warm and dry conditions and the Mornington Peninsula harvest was one of the earliest on record. It arrived in a hurry too and many vignerons were being picked in early February. The resulting wines have excellent flavour and weight and tend to be earlier drinking styles.
Chateau Saint-Pierre Esprit de Saint-Pierre 2016
Château Saint Pierre, a discreet but excellent Grand Cru Classé of Saint Julien owned by Henri Martin’s family. A fantastic history! Created in the 17th century, Château Saint Pierre was divided and dispersed due to several successions, and then was restored as originally in 1982 by Henri Martin.
The second wine, Esprit de Saint Pierre is vinified with the same attention as the one paid to the “Grand Vin”. Only 17 hectares of vineyard Château Saint Pierre have always been the smallest Cru Classé in the appellation which leads to limited quantities. A good ability to age as most Saint Julien wines thanks to Cabernet Sauvignon that is giving its best on that gravels terroir in the heart of the Saint Julien village. A very bright and fresh fruit expression Esprit is produced from the young vines of the Grand Cru Classé vineyard.
60% Cabernet Sauvignon , 22% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Franc
La Cueva Del Contador 2016

Highlight the red and black compote fruit with spicy, mineral and balsamic notes, also a touch of toasted. The wood is fine, present and it has to be integrated. In the mouth it is powerful and well balanced in terms of maturity and freshness. Final is long and fresh. It is elegant.

The 2016 vintage, boasting stunning concentration and dazzling acidity, is gorgeous now and will age beautifully for another six to seven years.

Tasting notes: A deep ruby red, richer when compared to wines from our other vineyards. In the nose it expresses itself as a symphony of aromas going from the intense smell of red orange and violet to the fresh balsamic note of herbs. This vineyard is characterized by a more creamy and silky taste coupled with a fun and vibrant saltiness. Serve with roast meat, aged cheeses and pasta. Serving temperature
from 16° to 18°C.
"Aromas of underbrush, leather, baked plum and camphor meld together on this full-boded red. On the fleshy, already approachable palate, enveloping, fine-grained tannins surround raspberry jam, vanilla, tobacco and licorice. Tangy acidity keeps it balanced. Drink 2023–2028." - 95 points, Wine Enthusiast
"A focused, polished red with dark-berry, cherry, walnut and dried-flower aromas and flavors. Medium to full body and firm, caressing tannins. Lovely finesse and polish to this. Dusty texture. Needs a year or two to soften, but already pretty. Better after 2022." - 93 points, James Suckling
Chateau de Pommard Clos Marey – Monge Monopole 2016
The largest monopole in Burgundy, Clos Marey-Monge benefits from a unique environment protected by a two-meters-high stone wall. Positioned at the base of the hill of Pommard, the complexity of our vineyard’s soils come from the alluvial, sand and gravels carried along by the Avant-Dheune river thousand years ago. Our blend of the seven cuvées from the limestone and clay-rich terroirs of the clos creates a deep, elegant, and sophisticated Pinot Noir.
With its bright and intense ruby colour lined with crimson reflections, our Clos Marey-Monge Monopole 2016 is a complex, generous and flavourful Pinot Noir. The nose shows aromas of powder and red fruits, as well as notes of smokiness, all bringing great complexity to the wine. The palate is fresh, revealing firm tannins and a well-rounded structure. Long and sapid while aerial, the finale unveils a vibrant, energetic, and complex Pommard drinkable today, but also age-able for decades.
