Handpicked Regional Selection Sauvignon Blanc 2019
Tasting Notes
- A mouth-watering combination of juicy fruits, passionfruit, bright acidity and herbal lift. Pure Marlborough.
Season
- It was a warm and dry season in Marlborough with low yields as a result of unsettled weather around flowering in spring coupled with very dry weather after Christmas. There are advantages to such a season ā low disease pressure and excellent fruit intensity among them.
Winemaking
Region
- This wine is made to preserve and highlight its fresh fruit flavours and refreshing acidity. The fruit is pressed to a temperature-controlled stainless-steel tank and the juice is vinified at low temperatures over a long fermentation. It is bottled within months of harvest and is best enjoyed when youthful and fresh.
- This wine is from select vineyards in Marlborough, where warm daytime temperatures, high sunshine hours, low rainfall and cool nights encourage the development of the intense aromas and flavours that are the hallmark of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. The wine region is centred on two river valleys in the north east of New Zealandās South Island ā the Wairau River and the Awatere River valleys. Soils are alluvial and free draining silty shingles intermingled with stones and rocks. Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is an internationally recognised wine style and accounts for about two thirds of the total vineyard in New Zealand, more than 70% of the countryās wine production and about 85% of its wine exports.
- Green salads, Asian-style salads, and slaws, goats' cheese, fried calamari seasoned with pepper or chilli.
- Crisp & Refreshing

SAUVIGNON BLANC | 2021
CASABLANCA VALLEY
VIBRANT ā¢ CRISP ā¢ FRESH
Vibrant and aromatic, with citrus aromas of lime and tangerine, blended with subtle floral notes. Smooth and fresh, this Sauvignon Blanc has a great mouthfeel and a long finish.
After several years the 2021 harvest started by the end of February in what we refer to as ānormal timingā, the main reason is given that we had a colder season that led into a slower maturation curve, thus accomplishing a more homogeneous process that brought complexity and intensity to the grapes. The characteristics of this harvest derived in moderate yields, which benefited the concentration of the fruit, allowing for its origins and variety to express themselves to its full potential. As always, the first variety to be harvested was our Sauvignon Blanc, this year surprised us with great aromatic potential, both fresh and expressive. Being the result of a cold year, it delivers freshness in the mouth, with a long crispy acidity at the end.
Recommended Serving Temperature: 10Ā°C
Food Pairing: Oysters, White fish, Salads
"This has aromas of white peaches, sliced apples, lemons, fresh pears and flint. Subtle smoked-almond notes. Medium-bodied with a creamy texture and fresh acidity. Nice mineral edge. COLCHAGUA VALLEY
EXPRESSIVE ā¢ INTENSE ā¢ RICH
Aromas of ripe black fruit, leather and vanilla are complemented with cassis flavors and hints of spices, with a long velvety finish.
A challenging early harvest, with the principal factor being a winter with low levels of precipitation that favored our organic vineyards. ROSĆ SYRAH | 2019
Casablanca Valley
Organic Wine
COMPOSITION
100% Syrah
WINEMAKERāS NOTES
The grapes are harvested in the early morning to keep them bright and fresh. The fruit goes in whole cluster into the press and is then racked off to stainless steel tanks for cold fermentation before it is bottled.
2019 VINTAGE
An excellent harvest in the Casablanca Valley. The moderate temperatures during spring, without significant rains, allowed for good bud break and flowering. During summer there were no large diurnal temperatures, benefitting the ripening curve and helping maintain the freshness of the fruit in this zone. Harvest was pushed up by 10 days with respect to last year, and with lower yields that produced intense aromatics and flavors, producing fresh, intense wines with balanced acidity and a long finish.
"Delightful red cherries and strawberries. Subtle and dry with light mineral character on the palate. Drink now. Screw cap." - 90 points, James Suckling

Mornington Peninsula, Australia
Opening with stone fruit and floral aromas with bright citrus notes, this wine has layers of fruit flavour and creamy complexity derived from 11 months aging on lees in barrel.
