The GlenDronach Traditionally Peated

Original price was: $149.00.Current price is: $134.00.
To honour The GlenDronachā€™s early whisky making heritage, Master Blender Dr. Rachel Barrie crafted The GlenDronach Traditionally Peated using the same principles laid down by our founder James Allardice almost two centuries ago. At this time, it was traditional practice in the Highlands to burn peat in the kiln towards the end of the barley malting, creating a rich and warm, earthy smoke. Interwoven with robust Highland characters, The GlenDronach Traditionally Peated is peated to those traditional levels and has all the full-bodied richness of The GlenDronach. Matured in the finest Pedro XimĆ©nez, Oloroso sherry and Port casks. The expression is bottled at 48%, non-chill filtered and natural in colour.
  • Colour: Vivid harvest gold.
  • Nose: Highland toffee and treacle meld with dark honey and coal smoked barley.
  • Taste: Sip burnt orange and treacle on a base of cloves and smoked bramble.
  • Finish: Savour liquorice and dark fruit into the lingering rich, earthy finish.
Food Pairing: Cheese (eg, Blue Cheese*), Appetizer, and snacks *Because of the cheeseā€™s creamy sweetness, which works perfectly to accentuate the pear notes and smoky flavour of the whisky. Together they tease out each otherā€™s shades of spice, floral honey and barley sugar.

Ferdinandā€™s White Vermouth

Original price was: $40.00.Current price is: $32.00.
The worldā€™s first vintage vermouth with riesling of a great VDP-site. The large steep south-facing slope of the Saarburger Rausch, its rough Devonian shale soil and the cool climate of the Saar form the perfect basis for the first Riesling Vermouth in the world. The minerality and fruitiness of the Saar Riesling, the bitterness of the wormwood and the floral, spicy aromas of the regional herbs and flowers give this batch produced Vermouth wine from the Saar valley its unique lightness and elegance. Ferdinandā€™s White Riesling Vermouth is carefully aged in Mosel Fuder casks, neutral German 1000 litres oak barrels, which ensures the perfect balance between the acidity and fruitiness of the Riesling and the vineyardā€™s botanicals. Besides homegrown wormwood, lovage and vineyard onion we use the botanicals which form the essential part of Ferdinandā€™s Saar Dry Gin, to retain the distinctive character of the beautiful Saar region. Grand Cru Riesling wine is infused with cold macerated botanicals, sweetened by the residual sugar of the wine and rectified concentrated grapes.
  • Ingredients: 12 botanicals including homegrown wormwood, lovage and vineyard onion as well as vintage Grand Cru Riesling.
  • Tasting Note: The very first white Riesling Vermouth from the Saar region; a floral yet spicy character with notes of regional herbs and blossoms, delivering a supreme drinking pleasure.

Locations I Italian Red Wine

Original price was: $62.00.Current price is: $38.00.
With over 2000 indigenous grape varieties to select and compose a blend, an exhaustive search was undertaken to pay homage to this historic region. Maintaining the integrity of the land was paramount while simultaneously considering the end result of a dynamic and innovative wine. Powerful and rich fruit from Puglia (Torricella and Manduria) serves as the base with a lively vein of acidity from Barbera (Alba) that stabilizes things in just the right way. A vast array of aromas escapes the glassā€”black cherry, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cured meatā€”which are complemented by shades of sandalwood, vanilla, balsa and evergreen. e entry is silky smooth with a textured mid-palate of velvety fig, blueberry jam and soft oak. A hint of sea salt on the finish is rounded out with a mouthfeel that fades slowly. A blend of Negroamaro and Nero dā€™Avola from the Southern region of Puglia combined with Barbera from Piemonte in the North. Barrel aged 10 months prior to release. "The black-olive, blueberry and blackberry character, combined with stone and orange peel is very attractive. Full to medium body. Solid core of fruit and a flavorful, zesty finish. A blend of negroamaro, nero dā€™avola and barbera. Drink now." - 92 points, James Suckling

It might seem obvious, but some folks forget that ice is a crucial component of most cocktails. And not all ice cubes are created equal. Larger cubes have a greater surface area which slows down the melting and causes less dilution of your drink. So before you treat yourself to a Single Barrel Old Fashioned, you might consider treating yourself to a proper ice cube mold. Youā€™ll be glad you did.
