The GlenDronach Traditionally Peated
To honour The GlenDronachās early whisky making heritage, Master Blender Dr. Rachel Barrie crafted The GlenDronach Traditionally Peated using the same principles laid down by our founder James Allardice almost two centuries ago. At this time, it was traditional practice in the Highlands to burn peat in the kiln towards the end of the barley malting, creating a rich and warm, earthy smoke. Interwoven with robust Highland characters, The GlenDronach Traditionally Peated is peated to those traditional levels and has all the full-bodied richness of The GlenDronach. Matured in the finest Pedro XimĆ©nez, Oloroso sherry and Port casks.
The expression is bottled at 48%, non-chill filtered and natural in colour.
- Colour: Vivid harvest gold.
- Nose: Highland toffee and treacle meld with dark honey and coal smoked barley.
- Taste: Sip burnt orange and treacle on a base of cloves and smoked bramble.
- Finish: Savour liquorice and dark fruit into the lingering rich, earthy finish.
Cockburn’s 20 Years Old Tawny
Twenty Year Old tawnies are made from wines of the very highest quality, blended and subsequently aged in oak cask for an average of twenty years, until they strike the correct balance between the delicacy and elegance that come from prolonged cask-ageing, and the rich fruit character that lends these old tawnies their structure, freshness and longevity. Cockburnās 20 Year Old Tawny is pale, complex and delicate with hints of cedar and crystallised fruits. Perfect served lightly chilled to enjoy with good friends.
Cockburnās 20 Year Old Tawny has a lovely bright amber tawny colour. On the nose with an amazingly delicate and complex bouquet of fruitcake, honey and nuts combined with notes of orange peel. Cockburnās 20 Year Old pairs extremely well with nuts, dried fruits and fruitcake, but is also
delicious with vanilla ice cream or crĆØme brĆ»lĆ©e. Serve lightly chilled to enjoy at its finest.
Ferdinandās White Vermouth
The worldās first vintage vermouth with riesling of a great VDP-site.
The large steep south-facing slope of the Saarburger Rausch, its rough Devonian shale soil and the cool climate of the Saar form the perfect basis for the first Riesling Vermouth in the world. The minerality and fruitiness of the Saar Riesling, the bitterness of the wormwood and the floral, spicy aromas of the regional herbs and flowers give this batch produced Vermouth wine from the Saar valley its unique lightness and elegance.
Ferdinandās White Riesling Vermouth is carefully aged in Mosel Fuder casks, neutral German 1000 litres oak barrels, which ensures the perfect balance between the acidity and fruitiness of the Riesling and the vineyardās botanicals. Besides homegrown wormwood, lovage and vineyard onion we use the botanicals which form the essential part of Ferdinandās Saar Dry Gin, to retain the distinctive character of the beautiful Saar region. Grand Cru Riesling wine is infused with cold macerated botanicals, sweetened by the residual sugar of the wine and rectified concentrated grapes.
- Ingredients: 12 botanicals including homegrown wormwood, lovage and vineyard onion as well as vintage Grand Cru Riesling.
- Tasting Note: The very first white Riesling Vermouth from the Saar region; a floral yet spicy character with notes of regional herbs and blossoms, delivering a supreme drinking pleasure.
- Perfect Serve: Martini Cocktail, Martinez, Martini Highball, Vermouth Julep
