Le-Haut Médoc De Beychevelle 2017
The vinification is traditional, with 18 to 21 days of fermentations and regular pumpings over. The ageing is in french oak barrels for 12 months with 20% of new barrels.
Le Haut-Médoc de Beychevelle's 12 hectares of vines are 5 km from Beychevelle's vineyard; being further from the Gironde estuary, they benefit from a cooler climate. The vineyard is in the Haut-Médoc appellation and has been managed organically since 2008. This blend consists of just two grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Vinified and aged in a separate winery, it is produced with the same level of care as Château Beychevelle and Amiral de Beychevelle
Rich nose and delicate palate with an aromatic richness of ripe red fruits. A hint of liquorice and chocolate. Drinking young.

Chateau Beychevelle 2015
The 2015 Beychevelle has a wonderful ripe blackberry, boysenberry and cassis-scented bouquet that is very well defined. There is nascent energy and tension spilling out from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with quite opulent black fruit laced with graphite and a splash of soy, but underneath is embedded a firm structure. There is real vivacity and terroir expression on the finish, a Beychevelle with enormous potential. One for those seeking “classic” – Wine Advocate, 2018
Varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon 42%, Merlot 47%, Cabernet Franc 7%, Petit Verdot 4%
Amiral De Beychevelle 2020
The vintage
A mild winter preceded a hot and humid spring, encouraging early vine budding. The hot and dry conditions recorded from mid-June were offset by salvaging rainy spells in mid-August, ensuring the berries’ proper ripening. The alternation of sunny days and cool nights in September was ideal for achieving optimal maturity.
The winemaking and ageing
The manually harvested grapes undergo a bespoke winemaking process in the estate’s plot-based fermenting room. Ageing is carried out in barrels (of which 40% are new).
Blend
The 2020 Amiral de Beychevelle is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (54%), Merlot (42%), Petit Verdot (4%) and Cabernet Franc (1%).
