Appearance: The wine is clear, pale, ruby Nose: The wine is clean, with high-intensity aromas of peonies, ripe strawberries, raspberries. The wine is in development. Palate: The wine is dry, medium + acidity, medium alcohol, medium tannins which are soft and silky, medium body, texture is voluptuous and elegant. With medium intensity flavours peonies, ripe strawberries, raspberries along with delicate sweet spices: vanilla, cinnamon. Finish is long Conclusions: The wine is outstanding. It shows intense aromas and flavours which will evolve with time. It is feminine and its perfume will incense you. Approachable now but has an immense potential for ageing.

Louis M. Martini Monte Rosso Gnarly Vine Zinfandel 2014

Our Gnarly Vine Zinfandel is a big, full-bodied wine with rich blackberry and pepper aromas that lead to a sweep of dark fruit flavors, including blackberry reduction, plum and black currant. The intense fruit blends with layers of spice notes ranging from fresh peppercorns to clove and baking spices. The vibrant and robust wine is balanced by velvety tannins and the spice and minerality characteristic of Monte Rosso’s iron-rich volcanic soils. The extraordinarily long, luxurious finish includes hints of vanilla, pepper and molasses. Varietal: 98% Zinfandel, 2% Petite Sirah "Fully ripe, extracted fruit dominates in this robust, heady wine, a mixture of red berry jam and vanilla that takes on a perceptible sweetness on the palate. Our Monte Rosso Cabernet Sauvignon was handcrafted from grapes 100 percent from the legendary Monte Rosso Vineyard. This impressive, fullbodied red wine has great depth and a surprisingly soft mouthfeel for such concentrated fruit. The wine swirls with aromas that include black cherry, earth and the classic Monte Rosso spice. On the palate, it offers red and dark fruit flavors including raspberry and blackberry, plus black fig and hints of dusty chocolate and espresso. Aging in French and American Oak created assertive-but-smooth tannins that melt seamlessly into a lingering, elegant finish filled with flavors of anise, toasted oak and vanilla. The color of this wine is orange pink. The calm and regular effervescence gives birth to a sustained and delicate cord whose bubble is very fine. Nose: This wine is powerful, fruity, developing aromas of strawberry, raspberry, sour cherry, and floral notes of peony with a vanilla finish. This bouquet of fruit is supported by slight notes of almond, cinnamon, honey, and wood. Length, complexity, and balance define a mouth in harmony with the nose. Palate: We note a beautiful purity, an excellent finesse on the palate with a creamy texture that allows us to discover an elegant wine with beautiful vinosity. In the mouth, very refreshing, reminiscent of pomelos on the finish. Food Pairing: This cuvee is appreciated with refined dishes, such as salmon in strawberry foil or fried langoustines. It can also be served with a fillet of red mullet, or even a rib of lamb marinated with vegetables. Finally, for sushi lovers, this champagne is the perfect match.
