Hakurakusei

The name "Hakurakusei" is derived from the phrase, "A thousand mile horse always exist in a generation, but a Hakuraku (an expert trainer) to bring out its best may not", which tells of the importance of having a good eye to spot the best, and from a local legend that a famous horse raised by a Hakuraku rose to heaven.
Hakuraku was a master horse breeder who lived during the Zhou Dynasty in China. The name "Hakuraku" is derived from a local legend that a famous horse bred by Hakuraku ascended to heaven. Hakurakusei is brewed to have half of the residual sugar of our own Atagonomatsu brand sakes and the popular sakes of today.

A fruity aroma hinting of green Muscat grapes fills oneā€™s palate with a gentle sweetness. At the end, the aroma and flavor disappear, as is typical of Hakurakusei, creating a clear and crisp finish. The sake is at its best when served in a wine glass or other thin rimmed glassware.
