Kuroki Honten Nakanaka Barley Shochu
$72.00 Original price was: $72.00.$65.00Current price is: $65.00.
Nakanaka is the main brand of barley shochu from the well-respected Kuroki Honten distillery. It is the same barley shochu used in distillery’s well known oak barrel aged barley shochu Hyakunen no Kodoku. Nakanaka is aged for a much shorter period in kame, traditional clay pots similar to amphorae used for aging shochu. Underground spring water from Osuzu Mountain streams is being used.
100% mugi (barley), with koji grown on barley replacing malting and distilled at low pressure on a vacuum still to preserve aromatics resulting in a full bodied shochu with distinct notes of chocolate and a rich sweetness on the palate.
While excellent served with chilled water or on ice, to truly appreciate the complex aromas and flavors of Nakanaka we recommend to drink it oyuwari (with hot water) which unlocks a lot of the subtleties and allow the chocolate notes to linger on the tongue.

La Maison Fontaine® Verte
La Maison Fontaine® Verte, a newly crafted close relative to the Fontaine Blanche, is our take on the green fairy – la fee verte.
The Pontarlier-grown Grande Absinthe in combination with the natural herbal colouration creates a classic complex floral Verte with rich herbal & peppery notes. By adding chilled water to Fontaine Verte, a stimulating and refreshing drink is created with a vintage green louche. Some prefer a more intense flavour and sip it neat or pour it over ice.
Fontaine Verte is also a wonderfully versatile spirit that can be mixed into an array of sublime cocktails. We call this The Art of Imagination.
The London N°1 Sherry Cask
González Byass has launched a limited-edition Sherry-cask-aged London No.1 gin, with only 5,000 bottles due to be released each year. The London No.1 is matured for three months in Jerez in Sherry casks that have been used to age fino brand Tío Pepe. The casks give the gin a pale golden colour, with “hints of oak and Sherry notes mixing with juniper”. The gin itself is made in London, with botanicals including lemon peel, liquorice and bergamot. It will be launched in 30 markets internationally as well as in bars worldwide.
The London Nº1 Sherry Cask, is the product obtained by the distillation in copper stills of a maceration of its 12 botanicals in alcohol of
grain and later aging in American oak casks that have previously contained wine from Jerez (Tío Pepe). This aging gives it a pale-yellow color due to the extraction of oak wood components.
The gin goes through an aging process of 3 months in these sherry casks that have previously contained Tío Pepe for more than 10 years. It has an alcohol content of 43 degrees which is the most suitable for the best assembly of each and every one of the aromatic characters of the gin and wood.
Tasting Notes: The London Nº1 Sherry Cask has a pleasant, fragrant aroma with notes of juniper berries and mix of botanicals, enhanced by a subtle touch of wood with vinous sensations. Smooth, elegant and complex on the palate, with well-integrated notes of alcohol and wood. Long and velvety finish.
Cocktail Ideas: The London Nº1 Gin ‘Zesty Pine’
- 2 Large Ice Cubes
- 75ml of The London Nº1 Sherry Cask Gin
- 1 sprig of Fresh Rosemary
- 1 slice of Freshly Cut Lime
Waipara West N Block Chardonnay 2018
A stripped-back Chardonnay style that showcases the fruit from our site while still being rich in subtle complexities. We achieve this using large, berried Chardonnay clones, whole bunch pressing, minimal use of old oak barrels, extended time on yeast lees and no malolactic fermentation.
Three qualities define this wine - above all else, the first being the fruit aroma/flavour, which we want to be subtle and pure. Acid structure is the second propping up the wine and giving it a salt crunch. Yeast derived aroma/flavours and mouthfeel provide balance.
Color: Pale golden kiwifruit in colour with hues of green and silver.
Aroma: On the nose, this wine is truly multi-layered however, all of them are understated. Fresh pineapple and sea salted cracker at first, perfumed white flower and white tea in the centre, all sitting on a base of malt toffee. These aromas combine and evolve into a vast number of flavours in the mouth.
Palate: Ripe peach and lemon meringue define the taste, due to a combination of full-bodied mouthfeel, cleansing acidity and a bite on the finish. A rich complex wine.
Food Pairing: Pork. Rich Fish (salmon, tuna, etc...), Vegetarian, Poultry
Residual Sugar: 0.52 g/L
pH: 3.51
Acidity: 6.75 g/L
Cocchi Vermouth Di Torino Riserva Venaria Reale
RISERVA LA VENARIA REALE
Riserva La Venaria Reale is the vermouth created by Cocchi to establish a milestone in the premium Vermouths category.
It is a vermouth in the style of the former kingdom of Piemonte, result of an unique partnership with Reggia di Venaria and only produced in two very small batches.
Recipe, selection of botanicals, long maturation: every element has been carefully reasoned and selected for historical and geographical consistency.
Cocchi Vermouth Riserva La Venaria Reale has, in fact, a strong local identity – herbs from the Alps – and historical identity, recalling the essential role played by the House of Savoy in the diffusion of the modern Vermouth.

CHARACTERISTICS
The peculiar style of Cocchi Vermouths makes them identifiable for their strong personality, for the intensity of their floral freshness and spicy fragrances and for their richness of flavors. The Cocchi Riserva is the culmination of this style that emphasizes the richness and aromatic density of spices with a six months refinement in the bottle. “Reserve” does not mean aging in barrels, which would affect the complex aromatic balance in favor of oxidation and tannin components, but the valorization of the formula and the savoir faire in production. As in Cocchi Storico Vermouth di Torino, the wine is aromatized with a formula particularity rich in Artemisia, Rhubarb, Alpine herbs and a touch of Piedmontese mint. This composition accentuates the pleasant balsamic effect and gives a surprising freshness, to the point that this product could also be perfectly mixed with aged Rye of Bourbon.HOW TO DRINK
Dark amber in color but without caramel in its formula, Cocchi Riserva La Venaria Reale is sweet enoght to be enjoyed pure with ice and lemon peel, or by itself as a digestive.DATI TECNICI

Giovanni Rosso Etna Rosso DOC 2020
"Piedmontese Davide Rosso captures the soul of Etna in this vibrant red " claims Decanter. From the foothills of the mountains to the slopes of the volcano, this is our challenge in Sicily, Italy's other great wine-growing region, resulting in a wine that carries with it the essence of tradition. A penetrating, bloody red, " piercing freshness, a zest of orange or kumquat bitterness, small, firm berries and plenty of spices too." as Tom Cannavan writes: " It's a solid and powerful wine, and yet has agility too."
Grape Variety: Nerello Mascalese
Perfumes: Fine and penetrating aroma, violet, bergamot, bush and wet stone, hints of white pepper.
Taste: Succulent and progressive, delicate tannins and lively acidity. The finish is strong and savoury
Pairing: Wellington fillet, mushroom soup with fried bred (Serving temperature: 16-17°C).
Predicador Tinto 2019
Predicador is a red with a bright, intense colour, which smells of fruit and earth, but also of balsamic notes, menthol and wild herbs; that feeling of being deeply rooted to the earth which is palpable all the way through. This is a concentrated, mature, fresh and complex wine, with a certain minerality (stones), some subtle caramelised sugar notes, liquorice, spices (cloves) and the scent of red roses, and plenty of volume.
Shows a very tense purple color. On the nose shows ripe red fruits. Very mineral. With balsamic and fine woods. In the mouth it has an enveloping volume and, as my friend Paco’s father used to said about these kind of wines: “This is chocolate”. Long life.
92% Tempranillo, 3% Garnacha, 3% Mazuelo and 2% Graciano
Serve between 16ºC and 18ºC
Food Pairing: Sausages and Ham, Vegetables, Stews and Casseroles, Rice (Paella), Red Meat
