There are countless brands that offer creative twists on the traditional gin formula: Hendricks, with cucumber and rose; Aviation, with lavender and sarsaparilla; The Botanist, with mint and chamomile. While all of these newer brands provide exciting variations on the typical gin flavor profile, their ability to deliver effectively in a wide range of cocktails is limited. Fords is the melding of both worlds, in that our high juniper content firmly establishes our credentials as a classic London dry, but has a unique blend of florals, spices, and citrus underneath it to give it a more current twist.
- Aroma: Juniper, coriander & angelica up front with developing layers of citrus, jasmine & hints of vanilla in the background. Bright & expressive on the nose.
- Flavor: Fresh, round citrus profiles on the opening with a light sweetness and blossoming bouquet of orris, cassia & grapefruit.
- Texture: Medium body, viscous & silky on the palate. Long, lingering mouthfeel.
- Intangibles: Impeccably balanced without anyone botanical dominating. Finishes dry with full-figured notes of grapefruit peel & long-lasting juniper impression.

Fords Gin is a collaboration between 8th generation Master Distiller Charles Maxwell of Thames Distillers and Simon Ford, dedicated to creatingspirits designed in unison with professional bartenders and celebrated distillers from around the world.
A thoughtful mix of nine botanicals, Fords Gin starts with a traditional base of juniper & coriander seed balanced by citrus, florals and spices. Steeped for 15 hours before distillation, the botanicals deliver an aromatic, fresh and floral spirit with elegant notes of jasmine and grapefruit that creates a versatile base for any gin-inspired cocktail.
The journey to create Fords Gin began on cocktail napkins in the world’s greatest bars. As a “gin guru” with over 20 years of experience in the drinks business, Simon Ford found himself having countless conversationswith fellow bartenders about the need for a go-to cocktail gin —a “Jack of All Trades”. Bartenders wanted a versatile spirit that could be used in any gin-based cocktail, no matter what ingredients the recipe called for.
