Dark fruit, plum, blueberry, blackberries, licorice, raisin, slight earthy and herbal notes coming through with a hint of black pepper. Beautiful complexity! An intensely rich wine, perfect with any great meal of substance. This wine is bold and rich, whilst retaining a beautiful balance on the palate. Think baked lamb, duck confit or a coq au vin rouge. This is a fine wine that will open up beautifully if decanted at least one hour before service.
Owner and winemaker of his family’s Châteauneuf du Pape estate since 2006, 'Guillaume Gonnet, Vigneron', was created by Guillaume and his Australian wife Kelly. Before joining his family as 3rd generation winemaker, Guillaume travelled the world working in some of the most famous wineries in Bordeaux, Burgundy, The Napa Valley, New Zealand and finally in Australia where he met his future wife.
One of the first conversations the couple had was a long discussion about “terroir” and it’s expression in wine. Terroir refers to all of the environmental elements that affect the quality of the grapes and, ultimately, the characteristics of the wine. Guillaume has always been fascinated by the notion of “terroir”, most notably about how the Southern Rhône varieties express themselves in diverse terroir.
Guillaume Gonnet wines are the realisation of their dream to explore the potential of Southern Rhône grape varieties in varying terroir in the South of France, and around the world. Guillaume and Kelly purchased their own plots in Châteauneuf du Pape in 2015. With their vines, and selected parcels, Guillaume continues to produce wine that reflects his philosophy for winemaking - Minimal interference with the “terroir effect” by following biodynamic agricultural principles, ensuring the wine is the right blend of Southern Rhone varieties - Grenache, Syrah and Mouvèdre, to attain complexity, balance and soft, elegant tannins and following an approach to aging using very little wood influence.
Guillaume and Kelly’s range of wines has grown to include a number of outstanding appellations in the Southern Rhône, including Côtes du Rhône, Côtes du Rhône Village, Lirac, Cairanne, Tavel and of course, Châteauneuf du Pape.

Our fruit was harvested by hand at the end of February then whole-bunch pressed and settled in tank before transfer to tank and barrel for fermentation. The wine underwent a partial malolactic fermentation and was aged for 10 months – part in stainless steel tank to retain fresh fruit flavours, part in barrel for added complexity. We used a mix of old and new French oak barrels.
Crisp & Refreshing, White, Medium-bodied wine. Great with river trout, Asian style dishes, roast chicken.
Our delicate La Marca Prosecco has a pale, golden straw colour and sparkles with lively effervescence. Opening with aromas of fresh-picked citrus and honeysuckle blossoms, the crisp, clean palate brings fruity flavours of green apple, juicy peach and ripe lemon, framed by hints of minerality. The finish is light and refreshing with a tantalizing hint of sweetness. The grapes for La Marca Prosecco were selected with great care from small vineyards throughout the Prosecco DOC, from the Glera grape.
La Marca Prosecco has the charm to stand alone as an aperitif, but it also has the body and the acidity to pair well with a range of foods, from seafood and mild cheeses to rich pasta dishes and decadent desserts.
La Marca adds sparkle to bubbly brunch bites, like classic eggs benedict, chorizo chilaquiles or chicken and waffles. For a crisp and vibrant dinner party, pair Prosecco alongside fresh-caught crab or fish tacos with endive slaw, goat cheese flatbread pizza or roasted chicken with creamy lemon La Marca sauce.

The juice dedicated to our Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2016 is placed into French oak barrels where it undergoes both fermentation and aging. The wine isn’t filtered, nor racked during these processes, which allows it to keep its lees. These natural deposits bring complexity and depth while enhancing the freshness of the wine.
Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru 2016 is a vibrant and refined white wine. Its clear lemon color hides a very intense nose of white flowers, lemon, pear and white peaches, lined with notes of fresh mushrooms and chalky minerality. On the palate, the same flavors are expressed, concentrated and multi-layered yet elegant and well defined. The finish is long, with a lingering minerality expressive of this unique terroir.

Chambolle-Musigny is rooted in the shallow clay and limestone soils on the easterly slopes of the Côte de Nuits, rising between 250 and 300 meters above sea level. Our Pinot Noir produced here is complex with soft tannins and a long finish. Once an adjunct to the Cîteaux Abbey, the vineyard gave its name to the village of Chambolle-Musigny, like 11 other climats throughout Côte d’Or.
With its aromas and flavours of musk, red fruits, and dry flowers underlined by notes of sandalwood and game, our Chambolle- Musigny 2017 has a beautiful touch. While still in development, this velvet red wine with a long finish presents a delicate and silky texture, enhanced by well-integrated tannins. It is approachable now, with great potential for aging.
