Terroir: The elegance of the Côtes-du-Rhône from Domaine St Patrice comes from the complementarity of the terroirs that compose it. Gravelly subsoils, red clay and sandstone, covered with gravel or rolled pebbles set to music a unique balance.

Vinification and ageing:
Whole crops apply for 40% depending on the grape varieties. Pre-fermentation maceration and alcoholic fermentation are done in concrete tanks exclusively. Light pumping-over and infusion of grape residues for close to five weeks. Ageing in concrete vats and large French-oak barrels (foudre) for 14 months. Wines are bottled during the spring and stored in the cellars for a full year before sale.

Handpicked Regional Selection Chardonnay 2019

Our fruit was harvested by hand at the end of February then whole-bunch pressed and settled in tank before transfer to tank and barrel for fermentation. The wine underwent a partial malolactic fermentation and was aged for 10 months – part in stainless steel tank to retain fresh fruit flavours, part in barrel for added complexity. We used a mix of old and new French oak barrels. Crisp & Refreshing, White, Medium-bodied wine. Great with river trout, Asian style dishes, roast chicken.

Chateau Gourprie owned by the Moze Berthon family since 1820, is a charming little estate situated at Maillet, neighboring Château Gazin, l'Evangile and Le Bon Pasteur. This vineyard is composed of 4.5 hectares laying on a superb clay-limestone and ferruginous subsoil typical of the Pomerol area. Since 2014 Hubert de Boüard (Chateau Angelus) is the wine consultant as well as Chateau Maillet the other Pomerol jewel of the Moze-Berthon family.
