A grand cru classified as a Malartic-Lagravière red, a must for lovers
This year, once again, the Grand Cru Classé in red Malartic-Lagravière appellation Pessac-Léognan keeps all its promises. It will delight the finest palates of amateurs and professionals. Ideal climatology, unique blend and unanimous criticism, discover a prestigious 2018 vintage.
A TWO-STAGE CLIMATOLOGY FOR A GREAT VINTAGE
It was a two-stage climatology that marked the 2018 vintage. With record rainfall, the spring was both humid and hot, which created strong health pressure. Flowering at the end of May and beginning of June was optimal. Until the end of the harvest, the climatic conditions were ideal. It is in these ideal conditions that we obtained grapes of exceptional quality.
The Merlots kept all the promises and the Cabernets, of spectacular quality, promised a sublime and silky mouthfeel of rare density.
It is in these incredible conditions that our teams assembled the wine.
A UNIQUE BLEND FOR A COMPLEX AND BALANCED GRAND CRU CLASSIFIED RED
Each plot was able to let its personality escape. The Merlots and Cabernets promise a unique wine and it is under these conditions that we chose to assemble the 2018 grand cru classified red:
- 57% Cabernet-Sauvignon;
- 36% Merlot;
- 4% Petit-Verdot;
- 3% Cabernet-Franc.
We let all the maturity of the vines express itself to deliver a very fine 2018 vintage.
