Cocchi Brachetto d’Acqui
BRACHETTO D’ACQUI
The most characteristic of sweet red sparkling wines, it has been a constant throughout the history of Piedmontese wine. It grows on the gently rolling hills of the Upper Monferrato area, and ever since antiquity Acqui Terme has been its terroir of choice, and a diverse one, where this aromatic varietal finds its best expression
GRAPE VARIETY
100% Brachetto d’Acqui
VINIFICATION AND SPARKLING WINE MAKING
Bunches of grapes are harvested by hand and immediately pressed to obtain a very sweet and cherry red must, which will then ferment in autoclave. Thanks to this technique, the aromatic qualities of the grape pass to the wine, releasing its intense scent of rose and raspberry.
TASTING NOTES
Cherry red with light notes and a joyful foam; vibrant, fresh and stylish bouquet with an intense scent of rose; gentle, slightly tannic to balance the sweet aroma and grant a pleasant persistence.
It is the perfect party wine that goes naturally well with fresh fruits, pastries or elaborate desserts.
A young wine to be served chilled; ideal for bars and patisseries, it can be best presented in cup-shaped glasses with a garnish of wild berries.

Podere Le Ripi Cielo d’Ulisse 2018
Deep dark with lighter shadows, flavors are quite complex and the progression of different fragrances is endless, beginning with smaller black and red fruits, all surrounded by a hidden scent of blackberries and brackish water. Our vineyards on the western slopes are surrounded by a fresh forest and very close to the Ombrone river. This means that they can handle well warmer seasons, like 2018. This is why the wine was able to maintain a nice dynamic taste, light without it being too sweet. The structure and texture of it are making us hope for great aging potential.
Luce 2020
Intense ruby red in color, Luce 2020 stands out on the nose for its complexity and elegance, characterized by ripe black fruits, particularly blackberry and mulberry, which are joined by hints of cocoa and sweet spices. On the palate it is harmonious, lively, with excellent structure, balanced by vibrant acidity and soft, silky tannins that give an elegant finish with great persistence.
Food Pairing: Beef, Lamb, Veal, Poultry, Cured Meat "Very pretty orange peel with currants and blue berries. Flowers, too. Medium to full body with firm and velvety tannins that are polished and impressive. Fresh fruit at the end. Serious structure and brightness." - 95 points, James Suckling "The nose is dense and powerful, exhibiting lush black fruits and chocolate, and it became more perfumed with aeration. The attack is zesty and vigorous, spicy and assertive, but there's no excessive extraction and the tannins are polished. Despite a hint of tar and liquorice, the black fruits dominate. Well balanced, with both grip and texture, and a very long finish, this will age well." - 95 points, DecanterLe Serre Nuove dell’Ornellaia 2020
