Chateau Beychevelle 2015

The 2015 Beychevelle has a wonderful ripe blackberry, boysenberry and cassis-scented bouquet that is very well defined. There is nascent energy and tension spilling out from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with quite opulent black fruit laced with graphite and a splash of soy, but underneath is embedded a firm structure. There is real vivacity and terroir expression on the finish, a Beychevelle with enormous potential. Chateau Beychevelle 2006

$258.00
The 2005-2006 season was marked by a return to precipitation levels more in keeping with the thirty year average. Temperatures were slightly lower than average, but nevertheless high compared to the past three decades. Becoming widespread in the first week of April, bud burst was even and followed the normal pattern for various grape varieties. Peak vĆ©raison occurred on the 10th of August. This was very regular and among the earliest in recent years. Harvesting started on the 20th of September with the Merlot harvest. ChĆ¢teau Beychevelle 2006 has a beautiful deep colour and expressive fruity aromas with overtones of wild berries and black cherries. This fruitiness follows through on the palate. Varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon 59%, Merlot 29%, Cabernet Franc 7%, Petit Verdot 5%

Chateau Beychevelle 2018

$260.00
Beychevelle 2018 can be characterized by two words: Harmony and Concentration. This vintage presents a balance rarely achieved at this stage. A bouquet of well-ripened red and black fruit invites us to sample the intense, harmonious palate. Very silky tannins accompanied by fruit bursting with freshness and concentration. 2018 will join the list of ChĆ¢teau Beychevelleā€™s truly exceptional vintages. Varietals: Merlot 50%, Cabernet Sauvignon 41%, Petit Verdot 6%, Cabernet Franc 3% "Violet and warm cassis aromas and flavors lead the way, melding with applewood, ganache, aƧaĆ and blueberry reduction notes along the way. Almost lush in the end, but there's a buried tarry streak giving it just a bit of grippy texture for contrast. Serious juice. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc." - 95 points, James Molesworth,Ā Senior Editor and Special Projects Director at Wine Spectator "Currants and blackberries with crushed stone and fresh herbs. Some flower stem, too. Itā€™s full-bodied, yet tight and linear with firm, driven tannins. This needs four or five years of bottle age to open and come together.Ā " - 94 points, James Suckling
