Kuroki Honten Hyakunen no Kodoku Barley Shochu
Kuroki Honten Hyakunen no Kodoku became popular when it became His Imperial Highness the Crown Prince’s favourite drink. It is now one of the most difficult and popular shochu to obtain. Hyakunen no Kodoku means “One Hundred Years of Solitude” and is named for the famous novel. It is made from a mash of 100% barley, grown locally on the distillery’s own organic farm, white koji to keep the flavor smooth, distilled at normal pressure to preserve oils, then aged undiluted in oak casks for three to five years to help it develop structure and fullness.
It is elegant and strong, with hints of oak and a hint of cigar, and is characterized by its concentration and smoothness.

Pomace from the best Moscato d’Asti grapes is collected into bags, then after fermentation it is distilled in copper pot stills. A reserve grappa, aged minimum three years in Piedmont-style oak barrels. Grappa Dorée show a bright golden color, as its name suggests; definitely intense aroma, delicate and powerful at the same time; a true expression of its original aromatic style; taste is soft, elegant, warming and consistent with the bouquet; the alcohol content is counterweighted with harmony and balance. TEEDA Aged 5 Years
Mr. Tadashi Matsuda, the founder of Helios Co. has been distilling spirits for over 50 years and promoting the identity, culture, and know-how of Okinawa. This is why the company’s main theme is “From Okinawa to The World”!
TEEDA is made from a single distillation of sugarcane molasses from locally grown sugarcane. TEEDA Gold-Rum is aged in white oak casks using both new & used rum barrels for at least 5 years while the final blend is made from rum as young as 5 years and as old as 15.
TEEDA is the Okinawan word for 'sun', which ties in company motto “From Okinawa to The World”.
Nose: Mellow scent with gentle tropical fruits, medium-long toasted mango muffin, mango-infused caramel, pineapple smoothie, and lychee.
Taste: A distinctive, chewy rum with pervasive notes strawberries, apricots, and ripe yellow mangoes on the palate.
Finish: Spicy cinnamon, maple syrup and apricot on the finish.
