Chateau Beychevelle 2015
The 2015 Beychevelle has a wonderful ripe blackberry, boysenberry and cassis-scented bouquet that is very well defined. There is nascent energy and tension spilling out from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with quite opulent black fruit laced with graphite and a splash of soy, but underneath is embedded a firm structure. There is real vivacity and terroir expression on the finish, a Beychevelle with enormous potential. One for those seeking “classic” – Wine Advocate, 2018

TASTING NOTES
Divin offers in its dark dress a wonderful expression of pure and concentrated dark fruit. The palate is immediately seduced by the structure of its body: juicy, fresh with fine and elegant tannins. A divine wine that will charm all palates!
"This is a soft and juicy wine, the only wine made at this estate in 2017 because of frost. Black-currant flavors and fresh fruitiness come through the light tannic character. Drink the wine from 2021. " - 90 points, Wine Enthusiast
Chateau Beychevelle 2018
Beychevelle 2018 can be characterized by two words: Harmony and Concentration. This vintage presents a balance rarely achieved at this stage. A bouquet of well-ripened red and black fruit invites us to sample the intense, harmonious palate. Very silky tannins accompanied by fruit bursting with freshness and concentration. 2018 will join the list of Château Beychevelle’s truly exceptional vintages.
Varietals: Merlot 50%, Cabernet Sauvignon 41%, Petit Verdot 6%, Cabernet Franc 3%
"Violet and warm cassis aromas and flavors lead the way, melding with applewood, ganache, açaí and blueberry reduction notes along the way. Almost lush in the end, but there's a buried tarry streak giving it just a bit of grippy texture for contrast. Serious juice. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc." - 95 points, James Molesworth, Senior Editor and Special Projects Director at Wine Spectator
"Currants and blackberries with crushed stone and fresh herbs. Some flower stem, too. It’s full-bodied, yet tight and linear with firm, driven tannins. This needs four or five years of bottle age to open and come together. " - 94 points, James Suckling
Amiral De Beychevelle 2020
The vintage
A mild winter preceded a hot and humid spring, encouraging early vine budding. The hot and dry conditions recorded from mid-June were offset by salvaging rainy spells in mid-August, ensuring the berries’ proper ripening. The alternation of sunny days and cool nights in September was ideal for achieving optimal maturity.
The winemaking and ageing
The manually harvested grapes undergo a bespoke winemaking process in the estate’s plot-based fermenting room. Ageing is carried out in barrels (of which 40% are new).
Blend
The 2020 Amiral de Beychevelle is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (54%), Merlot (42%), Petit Verdot (4%) and Cabernet Franc (1%).
Tasting Notes
Nose: The expressive nose seduces with its floral fragrances, wherein notes of violet dominate.
Palate: The beautifully fresh palate seduces with its powerful and silky tannins as well as its union of fruity (red fruits) and spicy aromas.
