Barefoot Pinot Grigio

$16.00
Pinot Grigio is certainly a fans’ favourite when it comes to white wine and we love it too. Barefoot’s Pinot Grigio has a light-bodied style with a bright finish. While it’s beyond perfect for the warm days of summer - sipping a glass of cool and crisp Pinot while the sun goes down - it’s also a fantastic all-year-round wine. Open a bottle of Barefoot Pinot Grigio Wine and you’ll be impressed with its glorious flavours. It boasts tart green apple mixed up with white peach, while floral blossoms and fresh citrus combine to deliver a blast of spectacular sharpness. Of course, although Pinot Grigio is enjoyed on its own it’s also a superb sidekick to food. It’s the perfect partner to the three Ps - namely poultry, pasta and pizza -  and fish dishes. It’s particularly good with spicy food, too, as its clean taste cuts through the hotter food. Try it with a thai green chicken curry or alternatively sit back with a tall glass of Pinot Grigio wine and a bowl of fresh mussels. Gorgeous. Is ours the best Pinot Grigio? We’ll leave that up to you to decide, but let’s just say we’re quietly confident…

Veramonte Chardonnay 2018

$29.00
CHARDONNAY | 2018 Casablanca Valley Sustainable Farmed Vineyards
COMPOSITION 100% Chardonnay WINEMAKER’S NOTES Grapes are harvested at first light and whole clusted pressed in order to obtain the structure provided by the stems. The juice sits for 24 hours and is then racked off. Part of the wine is barrel fermented in neutral oak with wild yeasts, and the rest in stainless steel tanks. Thirty percent of the wine undergoes spontaneous malolactic fermentation, enhancing the Chardonnay softness and creaminess without losing the freshness. 2018 VINTAGE An extraordinary season, with significant rainfall in the winter, accumulating a record average of the last ten years in the Casablanca Valley. Temperatures were moderate during the whole season, giving way to a slow maturity curve, achieving very good quality physiological maturity. The grapes were harvested in optimum condition, with the maximum fruit expression of the Casablanca Valley, delivering fresh, intense and long wines.

Predicador Tinto 2018

$49.60
Predicador 2018 was made with bunches from our vines between 20 and 40 years old. The vines were heavily loaded with grapes, so a very strict pre-harvest has to be made, 40% of the production was removed. The end of maturation was slow but a good balance was achieved. Shows a very tense purple color. On the nose shows ripe red fruits. Very mineral. With balsamic and fine woods. In the mouth it has an enveloping volume and, as my friend Paco’s father used to said about these kind of wines: “This is chocolate”. Long life. 92% Tempranillo, 3% Garnacha, 3% Mazuelo and 2% Graciano

On the palate it has layers of interest starting with rich dark berry fruit flavours, deft oak treatment and plush tannins. It is ready to drink and will age beautifully over the long term. The wine was aged in French oak barriques, 30 per cent new, for 15 months.

Orin Swift Blank Stare 2018

$71.20
Every now and then when tasting wine, you come across one that makes you fall into its gravity. One moment you’re having a great time with friends and the next you’re stuck with your nose in the glass—time stands still and you appear to have a blank stare on your face. The gravitational pull makes time stop. In fact, the third iteration of Blank Stare follows in the footsteps of two great vintages for Sauvignon Blanc. Sourced primarily from the Laguna Ranch, MacMurray and Two Rock vineyards, the wine’s main premise is to do just that, make time stand still with glass in hand, just for a few seconds. Glowing in the glass, the aromatics concentrate with notes of lemongrass, fresh cut grass and hints of lavender, cream and jasmine. On the palate, the entry is all acidity but with a serious mid-palate—lively flavors of kiwi, lime and intriguing minerality. The finish is bright and youthful with a slight Meyer lemon rind closing out the wine.

Le Serre Nuove dell’Ornellaia 2018

$88.40
Coming primarily from the Estate’s younger vineyards and made with the same passion and attention to detail as Ornellaia, Le Serre Nuove dell’Ornellaia is a true “second vin”. A blend of Merlot 44%, Cabernet Sauvignon 26%, Cabernet Franc 12% & Petit Verdot 18%, Le Serre Nuove dell’Ornellaia combines generosity and depth of flavour with an engaging and vibrant personality. Dark in colour, the wine shows a charming nose of perfectly ripe red fruit and spices. The palate is rich and well-rounded with beautiful velvety-textured tannins that coat the palate. A wine that combines immediate pleasure and great ageing capacity.

l’usine Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir 2017

The entry is refined yet immense with flavors of redcurrant, cherry tart and traces of spice that follow through to the mid-palate. The backbone of acidity and a lengthy finish sets up the wine to age for many years. Varietal : 100% Pinot Noir Alchohol : 14.1% Maturation : Aged 10 months in French Oak, 60% New
