The very best of all Rombauer Chardonnays, our Proprietor Selection is comprised of the top barrels of Chardonnay each year. Expect an elevated expression of our Carneros Chardonnay, with intense fruit flavors, a round body, and brilliant acidity.
Intense aromas of nectarine and peach, both yellow and white, mingle with high notes of lime, grapefruit, and honeysuckle on the nose. These continue to the palate where they meet candied ginger and rich chamomile flavors which will deepen as the wine ages. The creamy, full mouthfeel is lifted by stunning acidity which continues through the long and concentrated finish.

Rombauer Sauvignon Blanc 2023
California sunshine in a glass! Incredibly aromatic, your mouth will water once you twist that cap. Perfect for sipping and sharing, this Sauvignon Blanc is your new favorite wine. Lifted and concentrated aromas of passion fruit, green melon, and hints of fresh-cut grass all dance on the nose. The palate is linear and intense, with similar flavors that are joined by notes of kiwi and Key lime. Each sip is framed with mouthwatering acidity and a burst of grapefruit that lifts the long finish.

This Chardonnay seduces with its fresh and expressive aromas ofĀ pearĀ ,Ā pineappleĀ , quince,Ā nectarineĀ , zesty lemon and intertwined with notes of toasted oak. A vibrant purity of fruit, a beautiful texture and a good length on the palate give the wine a pleasant balance.
This vintage in Casablanca presented good conditions starting in spring, setting us up for excellent flowering and fruit set. Harvest began the last week of February, which was slightly delayed from what we had planned. However, things sped up and we had a very good ripening curve, especially at the end of the season. This year, the first varieties to be harvested were Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, having received very good temperatures from October onwards.
This Chardonnay is silky and mineral and is without a doubt an elegant and expressive wine.
