Waipara West Sauvignon Blanc 2022
The wine is an brilliant pale straw green colour. The aromas are as immediately striking as they are appealing, you are instantly saturated with lofty aromas of passionfruit sherbet and sweet florals. Asian herbs like lemongrass and Thai basil add a savoury backdrop. Dry river bed and salt crust provide further earthy complexity. Full and juicy in the mouth ripe tropical fruit like richness flows through to a textured and cleansing granny smith finish with a stain like persistence.

Nose: The discreet nose is dominated by notes of smoke and Earl Grey tea combined with swathes of clementine, yellow peach and mango.
Palate: Intensely fruity, reveals yellow peach, ripe nectarine, quince, as well as subtle notes of stewed fruits. The finish is long and saline.
Seafood platter or a fillet of red mullet in a white butter sauce with citrus and carrot flower honey.

From vineyards located in Wettolseim and Kientzheim grown on marly-limestone. Clear and delicate. Lovely lifted floral rose and peony aromas. On the palate, rich rounded exotic tropical fruit flavours with a beautiful core of clean refreshing acid. This is delightful.
