Louis M. Martini Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

$72.90
Our 2017 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a boisterous wine with an assertive profile, offering ripe notes of black currant, plum, crushed fennel and cedar. Rich and rustic, this Cabernet features distinct brambly undertones and finishes memorably with structured, lingering tannins. Grapes were picked early in the morning to preserve maximum flavor en route to the winery. All lots were aged and evaluated separately, allowing us to craft a harmonious wine before marrying the final blend in barrel to finish aging. In total, the wine spent 17 months in a combination of French and American oak (29% new). Varietal: 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petite Sirah "A firm, juicy red with blackberries, chocolate and light tobacco. Some vanilla. Medium to full body. Round tannins. Fruity and fresh. Drink now." - James Suckling, 92 points

Luce Brunello 2017

$200.00
Gentle and powerful, this is our tribute to Montalcino. It was born from the 11 hectares of vineyards registered in the Albo del Brunello di Montalcino. On the nose, tones of cherry preserved in spirit and ripe black fruits followed by notes of Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, it shows neat and elegant tannins. Together with its freshness, they guide the tasting to a long finish in which sweet notes of jam and tobacco return. It has great ageing potential. "Underbrush, violet and baked plum are some of the aromas you'll find on this bold red. Big and savory, the warm palate is brawny but polished, offering fleshy black cherry, licorice and tobacco framed in velvety, enveloping tannins. It's already almost accessible but also offers good midterm aging potential. Drink through 2027. " - Wine Enthusiast

"Intense dried cranberry and steely blackcurrant on the nose. Balsamic, dried-herb and licoricy oak, too. Full and very concentrated on the palate with a focused, flavorful drive of spicy fruit and well-integrated tannins that pushes on and on. Tempting now, but best from 2023." - 93 points, James Suckling
