Samaroli presents an old style single malt whisky drawn from a single cask from the Macallan distillery. This gem was distilled in 1989, bottled in 2022 at a perfect alcoholic concentration of 42% in Scotland from selected Casks.
Macallan 1989 will mature over time whilst preserving its original character of the highest expression of a Speyside. As of now we witness honey, vanilla, heather, underripe pear, ripe pear and liquorice. Ancient elegance and full harmony. A smooth, open and silky taste. Powerful whilst delicate. An old style whisky fully evoking those traits which made it so widely known.

About brand
Founded in 1968 in Rome, Italy, Samaroli was an importer for the first decade of its existence. During the 1980s Samaroli began to source more individual releases of whisky directly from Cadenhead's and as the years went by most of the bottlings were at cask strength. Silvan Samaroli ran his independent bottling business for decades before being taken over by Antonio Bleve in 2008, however, Silvan maintained an active role in the company up until his death in February 2017. Today, Samaroli bottlings are still hugely sought after by whisky enthusiasts worldwide.

Samaroli 1997 Caroni Cask #77 (2023 Edition)
The 1997 Caroni by Samaroliis much more than just a rum. It is a fragment of Trinidad and Tobago's history, from the famous Caroni distillery, now defunct. Distilled in a column still from molasses and resting for 13 years in Trinidad in an American oak cask that once contained bourbon, this rum reveals a fascinating complexity. With only limited bottles available, it is a collector's item that is as valuable as it is exquisite. Its aromatic richness is both a testament to its heritage and an invitation to taste. Our orchestra which is always open to new talent has identified a new great soloist. It reaches us from 1997 and it is a Caroni rum -one of the last. You all know the story of course. Or actually, youwill have heard of it: the madness of a government dismantling its own distillery, the lost barrels found full of a rum like very few others in the world, able to speak to a niche of chosen few.
We say: we prefer legends when they become concrete reality. And therefore, in our Caroni we detect a powerful and slightly disquieting opening of hydrocarbons, but immediately after a more delicate dose of rubber and black fruit. Then coffee, forest wood and a good length of black pepper. A lively mouth, one much more alive than what the nose had given prelude to. There is milk chocolate, coconut, dates, menthol.

Samaroli 1994 Macallan Magnifico 28 Year Old Cask #11325 (2022 Edition)
The nosing immediately awakens a fan of long-dozing sulphurous notes which are unleashed as the whisky conquers the sides of our glass.
After freeing itself, the saline somewhat kicks in, but not without a certain fragrant quality. Finally and surprisingly it comes across as sweet in the mouth, as succulent as cherries in May.
Here an extinguished match, there a thermal fumarole. A range of strident yet oily scents.
We find these perceptions overturned on the palate, the sweet tones liberated quickly and the more linear suite of sensations playing hard to get, even resisting until the finish. Dried fruits and quince jam -yes, opposites do attract and complement each other to a tee -in a medley of shades and impressions which unfortunately have been long forgotten.

Ten labels would not be sufficient. Protagoras, Socrates, Anaxagoras, and all the great figures of ancient Greece were orchestrated by Pericles, the city's architect par excellence. They created the perfect polis that inspired love from every corner of the known world, although it also provoked hate from some. May Zeus grant me the opportunity to take vengeance upon the Athenians! With these words, Darius ordered one of his servants to repeat the phrase "Master, remember Athens" three times during each banquet.
Here we present a blend of single malt and grain whiskies aged in sherry oak casks, originating from various city-states of Scotland and their distilleries.
We have chosen the title "Architectus" to provoke those who dare to taste this blend, marked by impertinence and hubris. It is agile, simple, and clear, crafted by carefully selecting the finest elements.
Who knows how long it will take for such a remarkable alignment of eminent humans to occur again? It seems that even two thousand years have not been enough. TASTING NOTESUpon nosing, it delivers a shocking aroma, fruity and delicate. On the palate, it offers a magnificent combination of flowers, sweet fruits, dried fruits, toasted nuts, cereals, and sweet spices. The fragrance of the Scottish fields gracefully merges with the mischievous sherry notes, creating a seamless and majestic experience that unfolds towards the southern horizon. Enhanced by a gentle summer glow, we find ourselves immersed in its captivating aroma as the sun slowly descends beyond the hills.

This time, renowned independent bottler Samaroli proudly presents the Apprentice Blended Whisky. This exclusive Scotch whisky is made from a carefully selected blend of young Campbeltown whiskies, which together offer a surprisingly full-bodied flavor profile.
In 1469, a young man began learning in Verrocchio's workshop, highlighting the importance of the teacher-pupil relationship. Today, such relationships are essential to unlocking potential in an information-rich world. Inspired by this dynamic, we launched the Apprentice project in Campbeltown to provide educational opportunities for young talent through Apprentice blended whisky, characterized by rich flavours and patient maturation. The story illustrates the transformative power of these relationships, such as Verrocchio, who gave up painting after recognizing the talent of his apprentice Leonardo da Vinci. After ceasing production in 2015, The GlenDronach Revival Aged 15 years now returns to the core range of the distillery’s line-up. The expression embodies The GlenDronach’s signature style of Spanish Sherry Cask maturation in fine Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks from Andalucía, quietly growing in stature for 15 years in the darkness of our dunnage warehouses.
In flavour, the expression offers sumptuous notes of dark fruits, rich chocolate and manuka honey with an enveloping, memorable finish worthy of this monumental malt’s history. This luxuriously sherried Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered and natural in colour.
TASTING NOTES
- Colour: Antique Bronze.
- Nose: An intoxicating burst of maraschino cherry, ripe bramble and dark chocolate mint with hints of orange bitters and walnut liquer.

The Glendronach Parliament 21 Years
The GlenDronach Parliament 21 Year Old honours the parliament of rooks which continue to guard our warehouses. Matured in fine Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks from Andalucía in Spain, this full bodied, richly sherried Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky presents elegant and balanced layers of chocolate and spice carrying on into the long, lingering finish.
This expression was named the world’s best Highland Single Malt Whisky at the 2018 World Whisky Awards and is bottled at 48%, non-chill filtered and natural in colour.
TASTING NOTES
- Colour: Deep amber with a cherry wood sheen.
- Nose: A delicate mix of ripe autumnal fruits – notably blackberries and red plums. Rich Oloroso sherry and candied orange segments. Spiced oatmeal biscuits and toasted oak fragrances bring excellent weight and balance.
- Taste: Resolute flavours of fine Oloroso sherry and bitter chocolate sauce, which has been spread liberally over homemade plum pudding. This is all infused with fabulous spicy notes – cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg. Full-bodied with smooth tannins.

Glenglassaugh Evolution
Glenglassaugh Evolution is created by maturing the whisky in a unique combination of the finest hand-picked ex-Tennessee first-fill whiskey barrels. This expression shows great depth of character and finesse, a harmonious combination of whisky and oak. Bottled at 50%, natural colour and non-chill filtered.
TASTING NOTES
- Colour: Crisp harvest gold
- Nose: Luscious combination of sweet barley, delicate pineapple and waves of soft buttery vanilla. Deeper oak spices and caramelised pear develop.
- Taste: Robust, white peppery oak floods through crisp green apple and freshly cracked barley. A gentle salted caramel emerges alongside hints of ripe banana and fruit salad syrup.
Kamiki Blended Malt Whisky
Kamiki is a new expression of premium Japanese style whisky blessed by Omiwa priests from Nara. Nara is the ancient capital of Japan and it holds many temples from Shinto, Tengri and Buddhist religions, which makes Nara «The City of Temples».
Kamiki production is protected by Omiwa Temple priests. Omiwa is one of the oldest extant Shinto shrine in Japan over thousand years old and protecting local alcohol producers ever since. To celebrate the timeless alcohol tradition of the region, rare Japanese malt whiskies and finest malt whiskies sourced from rest of the world are blended and later fused with the highest quality pure spring water.
Nara is covered with dense Yoshino Sugi (Japanese Cedar) forests. Yoshino Sugi is used to build temples, burnt in temples to calm mind and to age local alcohol products. Kamiki uses a unique second maturation technique, while blend is rested for a second time in Yoshino Sugi –Japanese Cedar- casks to capture a perfectly smooth taste, a scent of sandalwood on the nose and a zest of green tea in the finish. This second maturation makes Kamiki; “THE FIRST WHISKY IN THE WORLD WITH JAPANESE CEDAR CASK FINISH”!
Kamiki name is derived from the Miwa Mountain (Mountain of God), which is protected by Omiwa Priests. Inspired by beautiful breezes coming from Miwa, the whisky is named KAMIKI, where KAMI means God and IKI means breath.
Kamiki whisky has a smooth taste, complex flavor and driven by pure malted barley. There is no age statement on the product. It has been aged in oak barrels minimum of three years and second aged in non-charred local cedar casks. Kamiki comes in a premium gift box, truly displaying its Japanese heritage.
Nose: A perfectly balanced heather honey and sandalwood.
Palate: Sweet caramel, Japanese plum, and balanced oak with peat
Finish: Hints of toffee and a long-lasting finish with a zest of green tea.
