An award winning range of products from the 200 year old Avadis Distillery, infused with Riesling from the 275 year old Zilliken winery; Ferdinand’s owes its name to the Prussian District Forester, Ferdinand Geltz, who also co-founded the VDP Mosel Saar Ruwer Zilliken estate, one of Germany’s finest vineyards.
Carefully hand-picked Riesling grapes from the steep shale slopes of the Zilliken estate on the grand Saarburger Rausch site make our gin a unique taste experience.
Pot still production in small batches. The raw distillate produced from their own grain is distilled several times to form the basis for a selection of 34 hand-picked herbs, spices and fruits, which are carefully macerated to produce an eau-de-vie. The addtional use of a steam infusion of freshly harvested herbs, adds unique fresh floral notes to their gin, which is rounded off with a precise measure of Schiefer Riesling. Having been left to rest for a period of 4 weeks in stoneware, Ferdinand’s Saar Dry Gin is set to a drinking strength of 44% abv using deminerlised water, then finally bottled.

About brand
Just as the tri-border region of Western Germany combines geographically and culturally to create its own unique character, so, two brothers Denis Reinhardt and Erik Wimmers started a collaboration on the banks of the River Saar with their friends Andreas Vallendar of the 200 Years old Avadis Distillery, and Dorothee Zilliken of the 300 years old Zilliken Estate winery. The Ferdinand’s Gin story began among the ancient vines in 2013.
Named after the first local Royal Prussian District Forester Forester, Ferdinand Geltz, the Ferdinand’s brand takes its inspiration from the bountiful terroir of the Saar region. A timeless design and exquisite attention to detail in the crafting of the liquid, build upon a historical legacy of fine wines from world‘s most famous Riesling wine region.

Glenglassaugh Evolution is created by maturing the whisky in a unique combination of the finest hand-picked ex-Tennessee first-fill whiskey barrels. This expression shows great depth of character and finesse, a harmonious combination of whisky and oak. Bottled at 50%, natural colour and non-chill filtered.
- Colour : Crisp harvest gold
- Nose : Luscious combination of sweet barley, delicate pineapple and waves of soft buttery vanilla. Deeper oak spices and caramelised pear develop.

It’s aquamarine blue colour and hand crafted production method make this Gin one of the most exclusive in the world.
Triple distilled in small batches under expert direction of our Master Distiller Charles Maxwell, The London N°1, is made from the highest quality English grain spirit from the sunny fields of Suffolk and Norfolk. Distillation takes place in a traditional pot still with 12 carefully selected botanicals.
The exceptional character of the London N°1 is a result of the perfect blend of 12 key botanicals from various parts of the world. Each botanical is specifically and meticulously selected to create a complex and sophisticated gin. Orange peel from Italy, Bergamot from Italy, Savory from the French Alps, Lemon Peel from Italy, Cinnamon from Sri Lanka, Angelica Root from the French Alps, Coriander from China, Juniper from Croatia, Almond from Greece, Liquorice from Turkey and Lily Root from Italy.
The London N°1 presents itself in a luminous, pale yet bright bluish Aquamarine colour; the nose reveals delightful scents of juniper berries and balsamic aromas. The alcohol is well integrated, elegant and clean. A delicate palate with some viscosity, and a fine dry mouth feel. Mild but very aromatic, with quality balsamic notes. Very balanced overall with a long sensual finish.
Herradura Reposado
The Original Reposado. Tequila Herradura introduced the world to Reposado in 1974 and has been setting the standard ever since. Aged 9 months longer than industry standards, Reposado has a rich amber color with notes of cooked agave, vanilla, and butter. This additional time spent resting in charred American White Oak barrels creates a smooth, sweet finish with a slight taste of spice.

Tsukiyoshino – Junmai Daiginjo Yamadanishiki
Junmai Daiginjo that has been aged thoroughly in icy temperature over a year. As it took time for aging, contents in sake dissolve well in sake expressing the mellow mouthfeel as well as the umami of rice. It features muscat's aroma and crisp aftertaste. Medium bodied and mildly sweet.

Waipara West Two Terrace Pinot Noir 2017
Hand-picked, individual parcels were destemmed without crushing into small open-top fermenters. The fruit was soaked until natural fermentation commenced before a selected yeast strain was inoculated to carry on and finish the fermentation, which was hot and quick. During this time, the ferments were worked to extract tannins appropriate to fruit weight and intensity. The more aromatic parcels were pressed off skins within five days of dryness, and the Swiss clones spent up to two weeks on skins. Parcels then went to barrel where we used only 5% new oak, instead opting for a high percentage of one-year-old (20%) to better match fruit weight. The wine then spent 12 months in barrel undergoing malolactic fermentation in spring, before being lightly fined and course pad filtered prior to bottling.
Colour: Crimson and pink flashes against a plummy red base.
Aroma: Aromatics of currant pastries, woody spice’s, and manuka leaf, leading to notes of forest undergrowth and florals.
Palate: Moderate fruit sweetness, fine tannin and restrained volume allow savoury elements to splice evenly into the tart red fruit. A very enjoyable aromatic pinot noir, with good fruit density

Master Distiller Andreas Vallendar combines carefully hand-picked Riesling grapes from the Zilliken estate and over 30 delicately balanced botanicals from the vineyards and our own cultivation.
Our Saar Quince is infused with 2011er Rausch Kabinett, which in 2013 was awarded 92 points by Gault Millau and was distinguished as the best cabinet wine of the year. The Royal Prussian District Forester Ferdinand Geltz not only gave his name to this Riesling-infused Saar Dry Gin but he was also the historical co-founder of the VDP Mosel-Saar-Ruwer growers’ group.
This golden Quince from the Saar symbolises the perfect balance between sweet, sour, and bitter.
