Dictador XO Insolent
Dictador XO Insolent Rum is made from first press sugar cane juice that is fermented for 60 hours and is 100% pot distilled. It is aged in a combination of ex-bourbon barrels, ex-sherry butts and charred port casks to give the rum those sweet and smoky flavours from the oak. By carefully hand selecting barrels from each year’s vintage, as well as using our secret solera system, the master blender marries together these unique liquids to create the beautiful blend that is XO Insolent.
A deep, mahogany shine that creates an unforgettable colour in the glass. A strong vanilla and honey nose with hints of white chocolate and parfait caramel. Extremely smooth mouthfeel with fudge, intense vanilla and Colombian coffee on the palate. A long finish that is delicately balanced with light oak for a sweet-yet-strong experience.
Dictador Aged 10 Years0 out of 5(0)
Dictador 10 Years Old is a molasses rum from the now famous Colombian brand. The barrels that have received this rum during its long rest are in Colombian white oak called Quercus Humbolti, we find there the typically roasted notes that have made it famous.
Its age of 10 years is a weighted age, because aging is done according to the Solera method, which consists of gradually blending young rums with older ones (perpetual reserve).
The color of her dress is coppery orange. The nose seduces with aromas of freshly roasted coffee smoothly blended with vanilla. The mouth shows a beautiful sweetness and is dominated by coffee notes, without bitterness, faithful to the sensations perceived on the nose. Vanilla delicately finds its place throughout the tasting.
The finish has a good length still strongly marked by mocha. This unique rum reveals an interesting aromatic richness dominated by coffee notes.SKU: DTD23-NV00700-RM

Dictador 2 Masters Hardy Summer Blend 1976/19780 out of 5(0)
Dictador rum single vintage casks 1976 and 1978 finished in Sherry casks and then shipped to Hardy in Cognac, where it was further carefully blended by Master Bouilly who used his Chauffe Légère 350 liters oak cask from 1954 for the process. The rum spent at least 7 months in Cognac cask and due to the taste profile was called ÉTÉ which means SUMMER.
Nose : Immediate vanilla, fudge and butterscotch, but a character reminiscent of a great Cognac as well with some dried figs and apricots, then pencil shavings and hints of damp earth. Truly rich and complex.
Palate : This heady tipple coats the palate with an impressive array of flavonoids including an overlay of nutmeg on milk chocolate, toffee, sea-salt caramel and a beautiful softness without the sweetness, a great marriage. There is a rise on the mid-palate before it fades slowly into a minute-long supple and silky finish that is pierced only by flashes of oak, pure rum character and raisins.
Color : A deep mahogany with flashes of gold and bronze out to the rim, showing immense viscosity with long painted legs in the glass.
Matured in Chauffe Légère 1954
