Dictador Platinum

Dictador Platinum Rum is made from the fermentation of unique virgin sugar cane honey, then distilled in a modern stainless steel alembic. It is then aged in pre-used quality oak barrels from Jerez and Port that now and again reburn to caramelize the interior to achieve sweet flavours coming from the oak.

By carefully hand selecting barrels from each year’s vintage using the highest level of technology and our secret method, our master blender uses all his skills to create the most exquisite blended rum, which is then approved for bottling at the highest standard.

Hypnotic aroma, intricately roasted honey, pure vanilla, royal toffee, mature oak and parfait caramel

PALATE

In the mouth it is extremely smooth with a range of exquisite flavours starting with fudge, intense vanilla, parfait caramel, and Colombian coffee. A long consistency is balanced with light oak giving the sensation of extreme quality and satisfaction of sweetness and strength

FINISH

Long rich finish

    Which countries do you deliver to?

    We only deliver within Singapore at the moment. Orders with a delivery address outside Singapore will be refunded.

    Rum is made from the fermentation of virgin sugar cane honey distilled partly in copper alembic and partly in a steel continuous column, to achieve our signature medium-bodied rum. Aged in oak barrels and then bottled under caring, expert eyes, so we can ensure the final liquid is of the highest quality – and all our flavours remain intact. Light copper colour with amber highlights, an intense aroma of soft caramel, honey, dry seeds and lightly roasted coffee giving way to medium oak aromas. Soft and round feel in the mouth with caramel, cocoa, and honey light coffee flavours and a finish of light oak with complexity of lingering flavours. It’s a medium-bodied, complex blend of premium aged rums with full, rich flavours.

Capitulo, ‘Chapter’ in Spanish, showcases the Parra family’s dedication and hard work, drawing on colorful Colombian heritage to create the unique flavour profiles captured in each of these releases. These bottles are part of a limited series – so be one of the lucky few to discover this unique and incredibly rare rum.
    • Nose : A big hit of dry sherry notes, and then a sweetness of vanilla and oak come through. Some new leather notes and light cigar tones work with cinnamon and ginger for a rich nose.
    • Palete : Sweet sherry and red soft fruits combine with a kick of cinnamon spice and an oak dryness for a bold and complex palate that also has cherry stones and hints of earthy patchouli.
    • Finish : Sweet with some notes of leather and tobacco.

    A 39-year-old Dictador Rum from a 1979 single vintage cask, finished in sherry casks and then shipped to Leclerc Briant in Champagne, where the rum spent eight months further in lightly toasted TARANSAUD & SEGUIN- MOREAU cask used by Leclerc Briant. Nose        : Surprisingly rich, mellow buttered caramel overtones with greener new French oak nuances, toasted coconut, vanilla stalk and salted caramel with freshness and nuttiness. Palate      : A rich, expansive complexity with maple bar over vanilla yoghurt, then honeyed berry character and grape juice. On the mid-palate it changes character and begins its slow lingering route back to the origins of the rum with condensed sugar cane juice, evaporated milk and hints of honeysuckle flowers. Colour     : Deep golden bronze with lovely graduating layers of mahogany to the rim, showing excellent viscosity in the glass.
