Balcones’ award-winning Texas whiskies are suddenly heavily sought-after, perhaps none more so than the single malt whisky. With a deluge of flavor, the malt shows rich malty notes with heavily-toasted char and even a bit of Burgundian red fruit on the finish. It has a basic character of traditional Scotch whisky, but then meanders into a completely unexplored realm.

Matured for over 40 years, this rich whisky has an abundance of of sweet tropical fruits and sophisticated sherry characteristics. Bottled at 42.5%ABV, non-chill filtered and at natural colour, this unique expression is full of character and complexity.
Colour: Deep gold.
Nose: An abundance of sweet syrupy tropical fruits; banana, pineapple and mango in perfect harmony with gentle Oloroso sherry.
Palate: Sweet, rich, syrupy and complex. Oloroso sherry, toffee apples, mango and banana sit beautifully in the mouth alongside ginger and cocoa spice.

Palate: Orchard fruits and rich oak, more sultanas, Victoria sponge and sherried peels.
Finish: Pain au chocolat, redcurrants and lemon biscuits.

BenRiach 25 Years
Our Master Blender works with different casks for this 25-year-old expression to ensure a consistent taste profile batch after batch. The latest batch is a balanced maturation of bourbon and red wine casks and offers a rare opportunity to taste an older expression that has used red wine casks for such a long period of maturation. Later in F19 this expression will move to a five cask matured whisky recipe and be a more natural older brother to the four-cask matured twenty-one year old.
Nose : Rich honey, spices, apples work in combination with superb oak-wood notes.
Palate : A rich cocktail of honey, sherry cocoa and apples, supported by a fascinating presence of citrus and wonderful wood tones.
