Luce Brunello 2018

$200.00
Vineyard The estate consists of 615 acres of land, 217 of which are planted to vine. Sangiovese is planted in the higher elevation parcels (up to 1500 feet), which are rich in sandstone and limestone, while the lower altitude clay plots are better suited to Merlot.   Winemaking The Sangiovese is harvested during the first week of October. Fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for 12 days, followed by 4 weeks of skin maceration. Aging occurs in Slavonian oak barrels for a minimum of 24 months. Tasting Notes: Luce Brunello shows an intense ruby red color. The nose is complex and fragrant, with notes of ripe red fruit, supported by pleasant sensations of blond tobacco and exotic spices. In the mouth, the wine is harmonious, rich and highly structured, with silky tannins that together with freshness give a very long persistence. A sophisticated and powerful wine.

Luce Brunello 2017

$200.00
Gentle and powerful, this is our tribute to Montalcino. It was born from the 11 hectares of vineyards registered in the Albo del Brunello di Montalcino. On the nose, tones of cherry preserved in spirit and ripe black fruits followed by notes of Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, it shows neat and elegant tannins. Together with its freshness, they guide the tasting to a long finish in which sweet notes of jam and tobacco return. It has great ageing potential. "Underbrush, violet and baked plum are some of the aromas you'll find on this bold red. Big and savory, the warm palate is brawny but polished, offering fleshy black cherry, licorice and tobacco framed in velvety, enveloping tannins. It's already almost accessible but also offers good midterm aging potential. Drink through 2027. " - Wine Enthusiast
