Mouyuan Precious One
MOUYUAN "PreciousāÆOne" (ęęāč
å°ä¹ęŗā) is a premium sauceāaroma baijiu crafted under the prestigious Moutai lineage. Distilled at 53 % ABV from carefully selected red sorghum using the traditional multiāstage fermentationānine rounds of steaming, eight of fermentation, seven distillationsāand aged in earthen jars for years, it delivers a rich, savory depth reminiscent of soyāsauce umami, interwoven with delicate floral and grain notes.
On the nose, expect a refined bouquet of gentle esters and subtle sweetnessāless aggressive than standard Moutai, yet still unmistakably tied to its terroir: the mineral-rich water of the Chishui River and the red sorghumās natural tannins. The palate unfolds layers: roasted grains, soft citrus, umamiātinged fruit, and a long, velvety finish. Its elegance and complexity make MOUYUAN "Precious One" an ideal choice for connoisseurs seeking a harmonious balance between bold Moutai heritage and polished refinement. Present it in tulipāshaped glasses at 20ā25 °C to fully appreciate its nuanced flavor profile.
The ceramic bottle of MOUYUAN "Precious One" is fired in the Red Imperial Kiln in Li Ling City, Hunan Province, one of the top three porcelain capitals in China. The breathability of porcelain facilitates interactions between the microorganisms in the liquor and enhances aromatic volatiles. As the legend goes, a top-grade blue and white porcelain can only be fired in a misty, rainy day when the sky turns bluish green and the humidity and temperature are exactly the desired levels. The bottle is decorated with peonies, a symbol of wealth and prosperity, and bats, a symbol of happiness and good fortune. The Chinese lattice window recalls the romance of Chinese classical culture. The bottle and patterns on it are all made by hand.
