Situated in the lush highlands to the southwest of the Satsuma Peninsula, the Mars Tsunuki distillery has a climate akin to a basin with a broad variety of temperatures and high-quality spring water from the mountain. Vatted malt whisky matured in different kinds of casks, mostly bourbon and sherry casks.
The scents of red butter, tart cake, strawberry jam, orangette, and leather are all present in this release. The nose has layers of concentrated fruit aromas and rich, sweet undertones. The flavor profile includes cheesecake, blackberry, bitter chocolate, and full-bodied sweetness. It tastes three-dimensional, with a juicy, fresh fruit fragrance that lingers after the rich sweetness. It has a rich barley flavor with a sweet finish. The aftertaste has a delightfully solid flavor that lasts a long time.

TASTING NOTES
Nose: Red butter, tart cake, strawberry jam, orangette, leather. The fragrance is multi-layered with sweet and heavy notes and compote of fruits.
Palate: Full-bodied sweetness, bitter chocolate, cheesecake, blackberry, and bold. Juicy fresh fruit aromas spread behind the full-bodied sweetness.

This renowned brand, acclaimed for winning World’s Best Blended Whisky at the World Whiskies Awards 2013 with its MARS Maltage 28-Year-Old, presents a special SG60 edition in collaboration with Singaporean illustrator Lee Xin Li.

Mars The Lucky Cat “May and Hana”
"The Lucky Cat" is a series of blended whiskeys created using Mars Whisky's blending techniques, with the motif of unique cats. The tenth in the series, "The Lucky Cat Double Individuals May & Hana", is a blended whiskey with sweet flavours derived from two barrels, Pedro Ximenez Sherry and Port Wine, reminiscent of the two cats, May and Hana, who are known for their sweet personalities.
"Mei, the eldest, is turning 20 this year, and Hana, who is turning 8. Of the four cats in our house, they are the two who prefer to spend time indoors. As for Mei, her living space is about 5 meters from the living room to the kitchen. Her eccentric personality has calmed down considerably, but she is still an old cat with a childlike personality. Hana likes to be on my wife's bed, and she often doesn't leave her all day, and her gentle personality remains the same. And both of them are equally as affectionate towards their wives!! This blended whiskey has a sweet flavour derived from two casks, Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and port wine casks, reminiscent of the two affectionate cats."
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Raw caramel, milk chocolate, vanilla ice cream, raspberry, tangerine.
Palate: Dried mandarin oranges, wine grapes, tannic bitterness, fruit gum.
Finish: : Oak-derived sweetness and peculiar bitterness linger with mild sweetness from grains.
Mars Malt Duo – Tsunuki x Akkeshi
In 2016, the Mars Tsunuki Distillery and the Akkeshi Distillery began distilling whisky in the contrasting regions of Kagoshima and Hokkaido, respectively. In 2018, these two distinct distilleries, each influenced by their distinct climates and environments, exchanged malt new spirits before aging them in their respective locations. This bottle contains a blended malt Japanese whisky made by vatting two different types of malt whisky, “TSUNUKI” and “AKKESHI,” both aged at Mars Tsunuki Distillery. We invite you to enjoy the collaboration between TSUNUKI and AKKESHI, where the pot stills were lit simultaneously in distant locations.
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Well-balanced bright and vibrant aroma of yellow fruits, and sweet and rich aroma reminiscent of custard and pancakes.
Palate: Freshness and slight bitterness of lemon peel. Herbal and refreshing, rich in juicy fresh fruit.
Finish: A gentle mineral note leads to a smooth long finish.
Mars Tsunuki 2025 Edition
“Single Malt Tsunuki” is produced at the Mars Tsunuki Distillery, located in a green mountain southwest of the Satsuma Peninsula, blessed with a basin-like climate with temperature differences and high-quality spring water from Mt. Kurata.
“2025 Edition” is a single malt whiskey released in 2025, vatted with malt whisky aged in various casks, mainly bourbon and sherry casks.
“Single Malt Tsunuki 2025 Edition” is the 4th release as the “Annual Edition”; it is 6th release in which single malt whisky is distilled at the Tsunuki Distillery. Already 8 years have passed since the Tsunuki Distillery was built; we seek the direction of the future by paying attention to the maturing process of malt whisky. This is the single malt for 2025; we try to make the quality of whisky that gives the potential of Single Malt Tsunuki from among malt whisky available today. Mars The Y.A #03 Blended Malt Whisky
Yakushima, a World Natural Heritage island, is located about 60 km southwest of the Kagoshima mainland. The MARS Yakushima Aging Cellar is located on this island, which is blessed with steep mountains and abundant water. "MARS The Y.A.” is a Japanese whisky that has been aged in this unique environment. It is distilled at two distilleries, Komagatake and Tsunuki, and vatted mainly with malt whiskey aged in bourbon barrels.
The aroma of citrus fruits grown in the tropical sun and the minerality and richness reminiscent of the majestic sea surrounding the island make us feel the southern island of Yakushima.

Nose: Fresh tangerine, tidal minerality, salt rusk.
Palate: Fresh citrus, grilled corn, slight cinnamon sugar.
Finish: Refreshingly sweet, leaving a salty, savory aftertaste.

Mars The Y.A #02 Blended Malt Whisky
MARS The Y. A. is a whisky aged on Yakushima island, with rich water and mountains. We mature different types of malt whiskies from our Shinshu and Tsunuki distilleries and blend them to create a unique expression.
Hints of sun-ripened fruits combined with a sea breeze and smoky flavors make us imagine mystic mist-filled Yakushima forests.

Nose: Sun-ripened fruits combine with the sea breeze and soft white smoke.
Palate: A thick flavor develops with smoky and mineral notes.
Finish: A rich oily taste lingers long.
Mars Wa Bi Gin
MARS Wa Bi Gin is a Japanese gin that incorporates botanicals grown in the diverse natural environment of Kagoshima. By bringing out the characteristics of the material, the spiciness of coriander seeds enhances the flavor of juniper berries and harmonizes with nine botanicals harvested in various parts of Kagoshima, including kumquat harvested in Kaseda-tsunuki, Minamisatsuma
City, where the distillery is located. We finished this gin with a refreshing taste.
The botanical "Satsuma Button" is an original design of Satsuma ware that was revived by the painter Shiho Murota. It expresses Kagoshima's traditional techniques and nature.
Botanicals: Juniper Berry, Coriander Seed, Ginger, Green tea leaf, Saigon cinnamon leaf,Yuzu(Japanese citron), Hetsuka bitter orange, Lemon, Kumquat, Shell ginger, Perilla(Japanese herb)
On the nose it is spicy and soft with notes of ginger and juniper. On the palate it is herbaceous and citrusy , with clear notes of yuzu and green tea. The finish is long and fresh with citrus and bitter notes.
