Joshua gained international attention in 2018 when he became the first Singaporean to merit the title of Master Sake Sommelier after acing the exams with distinction at the Sake Sommelier Academy.

Dan is a simple but incredibly luxurious Japanese sake created by a brewery in business for over 350 years. They have returned to traditional production methods, using water from Mt. Fuji and special sake rice.

The name was chosen for its connotations of “sunrise” and “a new beginning”, akin to the run rising up at the start of a new day.
